State the goals for your golf game in 2017: I need to hit more fairways. I don't know what happened, but I am now missing both left and right, badly. I need my woods and hybrids to become consistent and my current options aren't doing it.

 

State why you'd want to attend this exclusive opportunity to be fit at Callaway Golf: This would be a dream trip for me. As an engineer and golf equipment fanatic, I am thoroughly impressed with what Callaway has done in the last 4 years. I use the same CAD and simulation tools that they do at work, it would be absolutely amazing to get a look behind the scenes and talk to the Callaway team about their design processes. Not to mention how great it would be to be fitted by the crew there to help get my driver, woods and hybrids under control. I know they will be able to figure out what shafts, heads and swing weights that will help minimize whatever I'm doing to cause these inconsistencies as of late.

Goals:

Big picture I want to be able to enter a US Open qualifier. Naturally that means pushing my HC down below that 1.4 threshold. I've maintained a sub-5 handicap for a long time while playing or practicing less than a dozen times a year.

 

Near-term I want to compete, not just participate, in local USGA, KCGA, KGA, and/or Local Am Tour events.

 

 

Why do I want to go and be fit at Callaway?:

 

I've actually just accumulated 95% of the recommended equipment from my most recent fitting (done at Robin Nigro's Golf Academy in the Kansas City Metro area. My misses have improved dramatically and I haven't hit the ball off the tee as well as I am now in a long time. The opportunity to be fit at a tour level would provide the opportunity to dial in a more direct path to my goals, or give me some verification that I'm in the right direction.

 

Truth be told, I've never been able to keep anything Callaway in my bag for any length of time - with the noted exception of my MD2 Tour Grind wedges. I've found the woods to be too draw biased for my swing, and the irons i've hit have never really felt as good as my irons at the time. Admittedly I typically always buy used equipment and adjust to what I've been fitted to, so to be fit by the best people in the industry with the most up-to-date technology (and has the ability to dial in to my specific tendencies) would be a fantastic way to sway a customer the Callaway direction :)

Average score 84. Didn't do a GAM last couple of years home course handicap is way off.

 

State your goals for 2017.. To stay below 40 each nine, eliminate frustration mistakes, and to be triple bogey free all year at my home course. I want to win the coveted Lilac Club Championship.

 

Why I want to attend....I haven't been properly fit for clubs ever. I have moments of greatness on the golf course and days of complete pedestrian. I feel a complete fitting with Callaway will bring my game to the next level and make it sustainable. I was all Callaway from my bag, to driver thru putter going back to the ErC 2. As I moved from iron set and woods thru Callaway almost every year. My best round of -4 was recorded with an iZ ball and all Callaway equipment in 2012. After the following season, I was curious if the grass was greener on the otherside, I switched to all Taylormade except my tour designs black #9.(my boomerang) I have been getting the Callaway itch again. Plus I have vacation days to burn and lefties have to stick together(Phil and I).

2017 Goal - Get back to single digit hdcp

 

Why this event - I am a Callaway fan as shown in my sig. I'd love to finish out my bag the right way, with Callaway gear, and I can't think of a better place to do it than Callaway nirvana in Carlsbad!

 

The only other time I got to single digits was with Fusions & that was 2 shoulder surgeries ago. Please help a buddy out!

Also a full bag of clubs. Who doesnt need more clubs. And never been to California or for that matter west of Alabama.
