What keeps you coming back

Recommended Posts

each day
For me the thing that keeps me coming every day back are the greats shots that make you feel like your on top of the world for example yesterday i come to the 18th needing par for 79 drive goes right in the rough in between bunkers balls sitting up this is a par 5 with an island green. I try to go for it cause trying to layup would have been an even harder shot but i miss just left bounce off the side of the green into the water. after my drop i semi duff my chip leaving a put for par where the fringe is between me and the hole. so i pull the flag and decide to chip from on the green over the fringe hit the perfect shot and takes two hops and IN :bb2: :bad: :ok: ;) :) :D :drinks: :D :secret:

Lets hear your reason and stories..........

My Obsessive Compulsive Disorder...

Haha, Im right there with ya. Ive been known to put my $1 bills in alphabetical order with the little "F", "L", ect. on them. Anyhoo, what keeps me coming back is the fact that I know I can always play better and shoot a better score. If I play really bad, I want to get back as soon as I can and shoot a good one. Also if I play really well, I want to better it, and say make all my up and downs instead of missing one or two. Its the perfectionist in me.

I have always enjoyed massive failure...........just kidding. Having a good time with friends or family while being outside enjoying nature. Some of the other posts could not have put it better. I may have a horrible round or driving range session, and for some odd reason, I cannot wait to get out there and try again. There is nothing like a perfect drive or a crisply hit iron shot that goes exactly where you pictured it in your mind.

The game to me is more then golf shots, it is remembering the past, the green grass. The wild life and being part of nature. There is nothing grander then the first tee early in the morning and all you can hear is birds and the slight breeze.

figuring it out. thats why. everything goes wrong, all day, and you can't hit anything. you leave the range thinking golf is the biggest waste of time and the stupidest thing you've ever even attempted. then, after you've gone home, all of a sudden you somehow know exactly what you were doing wrong and you can't wait to get to the range the next day to try it again.

its about getting as good as you can possibly get, and taking it as far as you can possibly take it, to the point of obsession.

Man there are a lot of reasons. I am obsessive compulsive. I love the game. I can play well so it is enjoyable. I love being out on a golf course that is in great shape and has beautiful mature trees. I love the peacefulness of being on a golf course. Leaving a few shots out there will bring be back. I don't know, there are more reason, these are a few off the top of my head.

Passion - I love the game and play well enough to enjoy the occasional birdie.

Now, more important....what's PREVENTING me from coming back the next day :
