Not sure why but I'm now the (proud?) owner of a like new 816 alpha dbd. Hope I get a chance to play it before packing it in for the season.

 

I about pulled the trigger on one this morning but didn't go through with the purchase. Just don't think I could generate enough spin to keep the ball in the air.

 

Just get the right shaft, I am barely over 100 with the driver. I tried low/low shaft, no good, Hashimoto - money.

 

Did yo get the rogue for both? I am similar swing speed and have the 815 with a Diamana Blue 62 that launches a little to high and little too much spin.

 

I have 3 once this one gets here.

 

9* - Rogue I/O 60s - 46

9* - Hashimoto 65S - 46

10.5 - Handcrafted LZ 70 6.5 - 46

 

I may never play another driver, for a while. I have tested most everything, and not happy about crap all over the crown of the new Epic line. I will obviously need to test, but the 816 DBD meets everything I need. Something is going to Continental this winter for paint....

Well, I had a GBB in my shopping cart and went to check out..........item not available!! No big deal, that's just telling me that it wasn't the right driver for me and to wait on the Epic. Don't think I can get an Epic for $160 though......LOL.

That's unfortunate and not typical of my experience with CPO. They will take it back with no questions asked. Call their customer service department, they've always been very helpful and I'm sure they'll cover return shipping for you as well.

Couldn't resist an 816 DBD driver, arrived yesterday and played with it today. Bought the like new version and the driver looked like it had never been hit.

I think ALL Callaway drivers are from 30-50%, depends on model. Other brands - no - 15%.

 

No codes out currently and CS is closed today, so have to wait til tomorrow to call in and find out. I think they kick off BF week tomorrow and will re-run all of these specials with online codes, then you can use ebates also. They should have free shipping all week also.
