I called today too and I was told the expected mail out date was the 5th. I find it odd that I was given a check number but not an exact ship date. He did apologize for the delay and said they received more trades over the last two months than they ever had.

I sold them among other clubs, a Ping G25 driver and a set of Ping G20 irons. They received them 10/27 and "processed" them 11/4. I have talked to them twice and both times they say my check has been mailed. Still have not received it. They received my clubs 6 weeks ago and I know they sold my irons a month ago.

Why would the PGA let a company such as this that represents them so poorly use their name?

Did you bring this to the PGA's attention?

Thanks for idea. As you can get to the PGA Value Guide Trade In site directly from the PGA.com website I just did bring it to the PGA's attention that a company using their name is doing a poor job representing them. I referenced this forum so they can look at it for themselves. We'll see if I get any response from them.

I have traded to CPO a couple of times and could not have been happier. I waited for trade bonus and got just under what I could have sold the stuff for. Was guaranteed that the recipient wouldn't try to file a claim against me. And in trade I got new clubs. The last trade I did, last Christmas, I dumped a bunch of clubs that I no longer used and got my wife a brand new set of Callaway BB irons that she loves - my net out of pocket was under $100.

Hate to say it but if I am going to part with a club now-a-days, it will either be sold locally to a friend or I will trade it in. Just not worth worrying about the scammers on eBay or elsewhere.

I have a trade set up with them and am deciding whether or not to send it in. I have two trades with them already that were processed on 11/25. So it will be a while before I get paid for those. I know I'll get paid it's just the time that's a real issue.

This is the first time I have dealt with them, I wish I had your confidence in knowing I'll get paid.

My 3 previous trades in the past 4 months have been paid. I know it will come. It's just brutally slow. My only other gripe is they don't contact you if they have to change the value due to condition like they say in the terms and conditions. You just get a lower value check. Only happened to me once and was only a $5 difference.

Good stuff. Maybe it will improve things in the future.

Good one junior

Can we get on with the intent of this thread now almighty one?

Well since junior asked. And I better have no typos otherwise I will be called out..... I sent clubs back in late October and still no check. Patient yes ... however according to their own site...

Payments are processed every Thursday for all trades reconciled during the prior 5 business days (Thursday thru Wednesday). Payments are generally mailed within 5 business days of being processed. Processing and payment may require more time during heavy volume periods.

Now what is "more time"than 5 days?...10? 15? 20? 30? Now did I mean it's a literal scam? Nah... you had your serious cap on. But when I read payment in 5 days....maybe more if volume is heavy... ok... but we are at 22 business days after clubs were received. Just a bit long if you ask me... if you can send me an email saying they were received and processed... you certainly could send a check within 22 business days. Unfortunately they use the time as "float"

No one's apologizing for them. They obviously over-extended themselves with that 40% bonus, that's obvious.

That said, since many of us have dealt with them in the past and have gotten paid (before and for this promotion), we're just sharing the info that you'll likely get your money so people don't freak out. It sucks that it's slow, we're just saying, they've always come through in the past.

I know it's annoying, but it's also not life or death either.

I talked to them earlier this week and apparently my check was mailed last week. Going from north Carolina to GA, and it is still not here yet. I gave the guy on the phone a little attitude and he said this 20% trade in bonus we received more clubs than ever before in our 20 years of doing this. I would feel bad for them being understaffed however they have no issue getting my clubs sold and paid for, just an issue paying me.

I'm in the same boat here as others. Sent them a trade back in October. They received it on 11/2/16 and processed on 11/10/16. No check yet.

Mine showed processed on 11/9 with nothing about being paid. Check showed up today. Postmark was 12/5. So yours might be showing up real soon.

No deduction off the original amount.

I honestly think they send the check the day you call them and will say it was sent out last week.

I wish that were true. Talked to them twice, on 11/18 they said they would mail the check 11/22 but I never received it. On 12/2 they said they mailed the check on 11/30 and that has now been 8 days.

I agree 100% with mcjimmy's comment about how he would feel bad for them being understaffed but they have no problem selling clubs and getting paid - they just have a problem paying us.
