Amanda did post round interviews with us after the round at Torrey. Hopefully those will get released so you can see how we all did being on camera trying to do pro style interviews

 

I felt bad, I had just shot an 82 or something and Torrey basically punched me in the face for 4 hours. So I was like "man I suck, but I swear it's not the clubs!"

 

LOL... I did say that that if callaway wanted to take us to Torrey they should've fit us for lawn mowers too

AB: "So you had an eagle putt that you made, what do you think helped you make it?

 

Q: Well, my caddy helped me with the read, the clubs I got are great and it's a great way to stay in shape.

 

AB: And how do you think Callaway did?

 

Q: I feel like they did an excellent job, fed us enough, worked with us enough and it's a great way to stay in shape.

I am completely blown away by the amount of ingenuity that these fitters did. It really makes me to want to go get Callaway fitted for my next pajama pants, but it's just not feasible right now since I just bought a few new pairs. Maybe next year.

 

But in all seriousness, I am blown away. Blown away. My mind is just blown. I'm so stoked for you guys, you guys have gotten more swag than I have bought in the last 3 years. I feel like a piece of my life is missing, hahah.

 

I can't wait to hear about the write ups!

 

By the way, what's an iron/wedge fitting cost at Callaway ECPC?

 

I asked. It's not a cost issue. Tour or by invite only. The public can't pay their way in. They do fitting at HQ for $150 and there's about a 6 month wait right now.

Did anybody get longer lengths on their irons or wedges? I always thought their standard length on the wedges was a little short.

 

+2 on irons and wedges. +1 on hybrid. +.5 on woods.

Wow, what an incredible experience. I have tried to check up on this thread daily, and when I looked tonight I freaked out when I had 304 posts to read. Callaway, thanks for giving WRX this opportunity, and for collaborating with WRX mods to invite top folks who I've been able to see in the forums for years. I had such an incredible experience when I visited Callaway and met Harry, Chad and a few folks, and to see them roll the red carpet for you all is wonderful.

So, I'm planning on being in that area soon and playing Torrey Pines while I am there too. Also, I've decided to go all-in for my first PURE Callaway bag for next year. (I already have some of the key pieces...Toulon!) Perhaps the marketing has worked on me, but I don't care. I haven't had a Callaway driver since the FIRST Great Big Bertha! This trip and the coverage only stokes the fire!

If you're going to win something(ie, lottery, car, house, vacation, etc.), I think a 5-star tailored golf trip would be taken by anyone here before all those others. You guys surely engaged in some unfathomable experiences that you will talk about for the rest of your lives that you just can't put a price tag on.

 

Thanks for sharing your experiences on here with everyone as it all unfolded. It was fun to follow and really did depict just how great you were treated while on your trip. It almost seemed like it was a well scripted reality TV show that should have been made into a few episodes.

 

I don't regularly post on here, because I don't know anyone really, but this sort of thread does make me want to interact with everyone a little more. Enjoy those clubs, as I'm sure those HC's will come down some more! :nyam:

So I wanted to share a little tidbit from last night before writing my big review. All the Callaway guys are so personable and fun to be around but Sean Toulon is on a whole different level. I got done playing on 18 at Torrey Pines and I sat down to eat our luncheon and Sean Toulon and Jason Finley sit next to me and we start chatting. I literally couldn't finish my meal because Sean was asking me so many questions and I was batting questions right back at him. We got to talking about a certain project that can't be named yet and started showing me stuff on his phone that none of us were even suppose to see or know existed. All while this is going on Finley is death starring Sean with a look that just screamed "why do keep doing this? They aren't suppose to know about this!" Sean literally couldn't wait to spill the beans on projects.

Hahah, fortunately it is not what you think! I had par on 18, but it was an ugly three-putt so some might have thought it was bogey.

 

The pin was back left. I left it about 40 feet under the hole down in that infamous front left bowl. My PR is 68 and that eagle would have tied it. I got a little jacked up and blew it 8 feet by above the hole.

That is awesome... sounds like they treated you all like long lost friends! Sounds like they also have major plans in regards to Odyssey and Toulon Designs

 

Was there any mention anywhere of David Mills and if he does or doesn't have a relationship with Callaway/Odyssey?
