#TheWRX: The EPIC Event at Callaway Golf. 8 Members are treated to TheWRX

I still have no yearning to purchase anything, which is very odd indeed given my past history. This is the longest I have held on to a full set. I have 85 official rounds so far this season, and beaucoup practice sessions. I clean my grips on a regular basis and they still feel nice and tacky...this is one case where tacky is good.

The only thing I would like to have are 3 more head covers (the tartan one's we received), for my other two fairway woods and the one hybrid.

Go nuts.... https://www.seamusgolf.com/collections/all-head-covers

85 rounds so far this year!!!!!!!!!!! I havent even played half of that. Thats awesome.

Been absent from the board for a while. Nice to catch up on this thread. As for the chrome Apex Pros, all I can say is that a dremel with the green 3M sanding attachment is pure gold. I've been so busy at work the last month that I haven't finished my set, but the 3 iron looks like it was done at the factory. I'll update with pictures this weekend.

Oh, and if Callaway is reading this, a nice satin finish on the next Apex Pro release would be outstanding!!!

I murdered my Epic SZ tonight......It was like the second time you date a girl after breaking up with her and she really wants to seal the deal this time. At least i assume that's what it would be like if i had ever broken up with anyone instead of vice versa.

We have a hole that plays slightly uphill at 453 and i had 137 in , had my friend GPS it. It helps that the course is dry and it was 38C today

Im going to make myself pee a cup

I can't decide on a lob wedge or putter. I feel like every round i switch between the MD3 and the MD Forged. And switch between my SGC and the Versa

The MD3 is way better out of bunkers, the Forged feels nicer and spins more.

My SGC has the weight i like but i have to hover it due to the sharp rear bumper. The Versa is too light

85? Damn! I have 15 so far. I must be working too much.

Try and find some heavier weights for the Versa... see if that helps. Or get some lead tape on there.

I have been very happy with how the wedges have worked out Jeff. I didn't think anything could best the TM EF ATV's, but I have found these to perform better.

I have the counter-balanced model and find the weight and balance to be spot on...not to mention the feel.

Sean,

I'm sure Seamus would make those covers for you no problem. I'd give them a call. I've spoken with Akbar on the phone before and he's as good as they come. He and his wife are really proud of what they do and are happy to accommodate just about anything.

Thank you John, I appreciate the information. They make an excellent product!

Those headcovers were awesome.

I switched to a red bag with my clubs logo on it so they don't match. But I have the red leather Ric Flair driver cover now for the Epic.

So I played 18 this morning on a course i've never played before. I'll preface this by saying I was playing with an older group of guys that played the course at about 6000 yards but I went out and made 7 birdies in route to a 65. I missed a 10ft'er on the last hole for a 64. I played with all the clubs I was fit for except putter. Today was my first round with the Black 7S i ordered. Today was fun.

Well done gentlemen! I am not in your league, but my last 4 rounds were in the mid/upper 70's, from the middle tees. Played a very tight/hilly course that was new to me. Played the same ball all 18 holes (CS-X). In addition to getting the ball to hop and stop on chips and pitches, a few full shots actually spun back anywhere from 5 to 15 feet. Gotta love those Callaway wedges. :-)

I exchanged emails with Seamus golf. In order to get the head covers with the GolfWRX logo on them, the order would have to come from GolfWRX. I asked for a cost, but she didn't give me one. Looking on their website they are about $65 without a logo...a bit pricey for me.

Pm one of the owners... I betcha they would work out something for one of the OG members.

Especially being part of the callaway trip.

I'm sure with some sort of written permission from someone at WRX you'd be ok. I guess it makes sense since the logo must be trademarked.

It definitely makes sense. Just like using a college logo on stuff... you are suppose to get permission before using it.

Yeah the only exception would be in the manufacturer had a licensing agreement. Which in the case of NCAA is stupid $$$$

True.

A buddy did headcovers and some colleges would allow give permission for the individual to use it one time-- alumni

So it can be done.

I don't feel very comfortable doing that Tex, as I am not very good at asking for anything! And, I don't want to step on the toes of GolfWRX. :-)

I don't think it asking for free stuff. Just permission to use the logo and who knows what they say.

I'm not either but a little jelly of people who can.

Sean they do!

I had a set when they were released the first time.

I was bummed by how easy the finish wore off. Hopefully, they learned something and add another step or two on the finish.
