I like using the best, under-the-radar ball I can find cause hardly anyone will pick them up and claim them to be their own. Srixon Z Stars are perfect for just that, and the ******'s snagging all the ProV1's are none the wiser....

 

I couldn't tell you how many clowns come from a fairway over to find 'their' ball, only to discover a ProV1 and start addressing 'their' ball for 'their' shot......or just picking them up, wtf.

 

Played used Z Stars from Lostgolfballs.com for 3 seasons for this exact reason. No one ever plays them, or tries to claim them as their own.

I loaded up on the Tour Issue Callaway balls from global golf. Bought 8 dozen

SR3-S to get 15% off $150 or more. So $17 a dozen for a tour ball. I love them and will try and find more when I run out. I think global still has 3 of these models left

Biggest reason I don't play ProVs is people hitting your ball or 'finding'it and walking off before you get to it. My favorite ball is TPX, and happily where I play they aren't popular so I rarely lose balls to other players. I pay much more for them here in Oz, but I don't mind.

I am loving the Z-Star. They are doing 4 for 3 at our local department store, and I am going to stock up next time I am down there. Long, spins well, and has excellent durability - I've played 36 holes and only lost one - the second one (after 18) is more than presentable still. They are also pretty unique, so no issues with playing the wrong ball!
