Enjoy your round! Hopefully this time of year loudon won't be like concrete. I noticed on my way by that the sign at Pembroke says Front 9 on Monday too. I hit balls at the Beav today but there was still some snow around the greens there. But It's finally happening!

Just played Wentworth Hills yesterday. Pretty wet and the wind was really blowing, easily 20-40 mph gusts, so that was pretty difficult. Course was really wet and soggy, but overall it was in decent shape. Best part was with the wind and lower temps the course was pretty empty, so I was able to play alone and work on my swing changes from the winter months. Pretty good time overall and found that not really worrying about where the ball ended up actually had me swinging better. Just getting out again for the first time in months was great. Looking forward to the courses drying out and the grass getting better too over the next couple of weeks.

Just got an email that Candia Woods is opening tomorrow and The Oaks is opening the next day. :) Gotta get to The Oaks fairly soon... Really like playing there as they're not afraid to cut their greens.

Waverly Oaks was in very good shape! They did recently punch the greens, they ran quick but a little bumpy on the back. Considering this early in the season, I was more than pleased with the conditions of the course. The conditions of my game is another story! ;)

Played Lakeville Country Club this weekend. Place looks like it hasn't been touched since October. I know it's early spring golf but come on. I've never seen greens with that much sand on them in all the years I have been playing.. Nevermind it looked like someone cut the holes with a hand shovel. Nice to get out and stretch the legs nonetheless.

Played Poquoy Brook on Saturday. Greens were recently punched (small punches) and rolled pretty quick, but still a little bumpy. Course will come in nicely this year. :)

 

Oh, and they have made some GREAT improvements both in the clubhouse and proshop. 1) Proshop is now in the old ball/starter shed by 1st tee. 2) Remodeled interior of restaurant and where used to be the pro shop is now 3) a HUGE bar, ~30 draft beers on tap, multiple big screen TVs, etc... MUCH more presentable than it used to be.
