New Ping driver - 2017

Doubt it, since reports above say it has turbulators. Hosel doesn't look like Ping's either. That looks like an older model TM to me in the pic.

Nope, the G400 will have an adjustable hosel and there will be no turbulators/dragonfly tech.

This is untrue...

My bad, I meant to say there is no dragonfly tech. I get dragonfly and turbulators mixed up sometimes lol

The dragonfly tech is still in place, and has in fact been extended

Hmm. Unless it's really subtle, I did not notice any type of dragonfly tech on the crown. Can you further elaborate?

It was mentioned there would be some new putters added. Will they add any to the vault line e or just the sigma g line.

Yes, from what I know, a couple new putters. I could tell you the models but pretty sure my Ping rep would cut me off lol

hmm, one insider says dragonfly is gone, one says it's extended...someone is likely full of something.

Was thinking the same thing... Ping guys are keeping us on the edge of our seats. I like it.

I don't.

I want pictures post haste!

same here.. although it ll do well to knock out the F7 + or JPX 900 I have in rotation

Funny, I have a JPX-900 FIRMLY embedded in my bag as well, and an F7 on standby ;)

Ok - there IS both turbolators and dragonfly tech in the new G400 line. Just less pronounced than G or G30. The dragonfly ribs extend to "infinity edge" back of the crown.

Same adapter!

New putter are as follows;

Sigma G line - black Tyne with plumbers neck and a Craz-e version

Ping Vault line - Bergan Steath and Oslo Steath

M3 9.5* / Atmos Black Tour Spec
M4 16.5* / Hzrdus Black
M4 Hybrid 19* / KBS Prototype
P-770 / Project X LZ 6.0
52* / 58* Black Milled Grind Wedge / KBS Custom
59* Original Trusty Rusty / Hump shaft
60* Raw Milled Grind Wedge / KBS Custom

If I wasn't side saddling now, I'd be super excited about the Craz-E. That seems like its such a classic model at this point, I don't get why its not one of the first styles released with the putter release.

TBD - G430 Max 15* - 818 H2 19*- Sub 70 Pro 23* - i525 6-U - SM9 54* / 58* / 62*  - F22

That makes sense taylorx300. The dragonfly must be very subtle because I did not notice it. It also could be that the paint and color do a good job of hiding it.

I hit the G400 LS today. A much cleaner look at address and a much, much better sound. Can't wait for release and to try on the course.

Anyone know if a less than 9* head is on the way?

8.5 in LS TEC only

Ooooh.. so different lofts between the standard and LS models? Even more intrigued.

Darn, was hoping for an 8* standard head. Typically how much variance is there in the Ping heads? Wonder how close I could get to 8* if I ordered it digitally spec'd?

SF TEC in 12 degree? Hopefully this driver finally replaces my K15 I currently have in my bag... After many attempts of trying to replace it I have always gone back to the K15.

I know people get excited over new releases but everything I've seen so far sounds like more of the same except the option of a (slightly) smaller-volume driver for those players who just love seeing numbers less than "460cc" on theirs. Looks to me like continued refinement in the Ping vein with the basic lineup continuing much as before.

NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT. For my part, I love Ping's usual same-old, same-old gradual refinement process. Just hard to get excited over seeing new stuff that's going to be sooooo similar to the old stuff it replaces.

The current Ping G SF Tec is available in the same 10 and 12 degree versions. As was the G30 SF Tec, if I recall correctly.

yes you are correct! Sorry, I neglected to mention the turbolators (in hopes the new one driver doesn't have them or are less pronounced)

I can't give away too much info but here's an overview of the new ping line:

- Woods have a really cool paint design. When held up to the eyes they look like a bronze/copper. At address it looks black. Very slick! Also tuck your G30/G heads in bed tonight, because the dragonfly design on the G400 is gone. All heads will be under 460cc. Forged face. Amazing feel! Better than epic sz feel. Compared to my current gamer, spun much lower and that's with the stock tour shaft (which are counterbalanced for those who want to know). This thing might be one of the best driver heads i've ever tested. The performance is amazing. This definitely will rival and maybe even exceed the performance of the Epic and m1/m2 for most people. Rumors of the $45 upgraded shaft is true. Options are HZRDUS Yellow, Kuro Kage, and Aldila (for the slower swingspeeds). Long story short, come July, it will replace my trusty G LS. It's a pretty big improvement from the G30/G line.

- For those wondering about updates on the crossover. Less offset, tungsten on the toe. That's all I can say about it.

- G400 irons are nice! Slightly thicker top line than i200. Think i200 with a little more offset and wider sole. It will be a good option for those needing super game improvement irons.

Like most of you guys, I'm ecstatic about this new line coming out. Ping really put some major engineering into it and I can't wait to bag the Driver and 3w as soon as I can.

thank you that is excellent, I think I'll be ordering a G400 5 iron to replace my i200 4 iron just for some extra forgivness. It sounds similar to my old i25 4 iron.
