Most important to me is spin rate or lack there of. I'd rather play a lower spin ball being a high spin player myself.

The most important things I look for in a ball:

1. Spin rate both off the tee and maximum greenside control. I need to be able to hit all the shots.

2. Feel- soft but not mushy.

3. Flight- I prefer a higher flight off the irons, but often prefer to flight my wedges down. Wind aerodynamacy is also important.

 

Out of these the most important is greenside control, and feel around the greens.

No one thing that I look for specifically. It's about the total package. I will say that if a ball doesn't feel good or won't be in my bag no matter how good it is.

1. Most important is value, want the best performance in terms of the cost. I don't mind paying x premium as long as it's x times better than the balls your comparing it to.

2. Spin - Need to find that sweet spot of not too much, but don't want a knuckleball when attacking greens.

In a ball I personally really enjoy a softer feeling ball that has lower spin off the driver. As for spin around the greens I can adapt to near any ball, but it must be consistent, Balls from the same sleeve and balls two month from now. Lastly I'm not gonna lie, Price is a big issue. I cringe at loosing a $4 ball. Keeping the price reasonable will keep my business.
