The most important factors of a ball to me are:

1. Feel

2. Greenside spin

3. "competitive distance" (meaning same, if not longer than the competition)

4. Lastly is price; again, at least in line with what else is out there, if not cheaper. If something is more expensive, and not as established or doesn't carry the reputation that the same priced or cheaper ball does, it is highly unlikely I will try it.

What matters most to me is performance. If Dean is able to give the big boys a thumb in the eye so to speak in terms of performance at a lower cost.....So be it!

 

Never tried them but the reviews are in and you cannot argue with science and numbers....If I win I'd definitely do an in depth review \ and win plenty of weekend skins matches with em' for my field tests.

I'm a mid-handcapper, so to me it all comes down to how the ball feels at impact and the confidence it gives me on hitting my shots since I can be prone to mishits.

I don't look for any one factor in a ball, but a good balance between spin, distance, price, and feel would be more appropriate.

 

I got 1 dozen of the MTB's this Christmas per my request to give them a try this year. I'm pretty sure I'll like them based on what I've read, and 6 more dozen couldn't hurt, right!?
