Anyone still gaming Srixon Pro-100 irons?

I really like the feel and especially like the look of the Srixon Pro-100 blades... very thin sole (unlike anything you see these days), yet pretty forgiving for a small blade.

Anyone still gaming these?

Pro 100s were before the 945/965 love began. So not likely a lot of use still out there.

I had a set but sold it a year ago. Nice looking muscle and played pretty well but like a lot of Japanese irons the 9 iron and pw were just too darn big.

very old topic, but i was googling info about the irons

 

bought a set super cheap last season due to a broken shaft.

 

currently a 20% sale on shafts with free installation at Golftown so i'm going to reshaft it for s*** and giggles and hopefully play a few rounds when the ground is more firm and i won't dig as much

I played my Srixon pro 100's with aldila graphite shafts just 2 days ago.  They are the best irons out there in my opinion and trust when when I say I have played many different musclebacks and game improvement irons.  I switch beteen Ping I25 and these.  I always come back to these. I am a 7 handicap.

Clean looks and no one really played them, so doubtful many are still out there.

 

As for saying they are the best irons out there and to trust you because you'd play a lot, you are likely in very rare territory in thinking this, and many of us have hit a ton of gear.

I had a set briefly.  Took them to a golf fitter to get them bent to my specs.  He took measurements from my other set of clubs and I hit some shots on a lie board.  I offered to leave my clubs with him so he could make the lie angles match.  He insisted he didn't need them.  When I picked them up it was immediately obvious that he had bent them 2* in the wrong direction.  He admitted his mistake and offered to fix them.  In doing so he broke the hozzel on the 7-iron so I had to wait three weeks for another 7-iron head to come.  Beyond that I got back an absolutely mangled set of irons.  The hozzels looked horrendous from being bent 2* one direction and then 4* the other direction......like they had an S-curve in the hozzels.  I was so pissed off about the whole situation that I hit a couple of balls with them and put them on eBay and lost $300 just to be rid of them.  I knew I'd always be pissed off standing over those irons so they just had to go.
