I just saw on RockBottom that there is a new FG Tour out. Anyone had a chance to play it? The reviews on the Wilson site are so far positive...

Great ball. Soft feel, long, nice high flight on iron shots.

I've been praising the new FG Tour for a while, in other threads, but I'll do it again. Not that I have the level of game that would make my opinion relevant, but in over 25 years of playing golf, I can't think of a ball I liked better than the new FG Tour. Long and straight. Great control around the greens. Feels soft on partial shots and putting, but firm enough for higher swing speeds. There is not one aspect where the FG Tour does not excel. If you like the Duo U but thought it was too soft, you will love this ball. More greenside spin as well.

Any word on a yellow ball? The previous FG Tours were available in yellow.

Bah. Some of us old farts with bad eyes need the extra visibility. After using Wilson FG's for over 6 years, I guess I'll be looking elsewhere.

Very similar. Feel off the driver is different, but distance difference could be covered with a blanket. Maybe slight edge to FG (110ss).

Not as many as they want and not as many as they should. It doesn't help that the ball has almost zero presence on the PGA Tour. I think Ricky Barnes is the only staffer using it, and no top 10's along with a bunch of missed cuts this year can't create much buzz.

I played the last 2 rounds with an FG Tour, very impressed to say the least, no distance loss off the tee, spins very well off the irons, soft off the putter, checks really well on short shots around the green, not clicky at all, I have been playing the B330S and it is significantly softer with almost the same performance...

Likewise. I find hundreds of balls a year, and I've only every found one, and it was mine. Pity, because they're excellent balls. I prefer them to the Pro V's.
