Tom Watson and Greg Norman had a few good tussles with Watson hitting a huge drive one day down the last that went around 400 yards (I think).

I also remember the one club challenge as well when Seve was able to produce amazing shots with his chosen club, a 5 iron.

 

 

I do still like Alliss though and wish the BBC still had the Open.

Those programmes were great and went towards my love for both golf and snooker.

I think that is where losing the Open and other events to Sky (here in the UK) will mean many kids never get the desire to take up golf by seeing it on terrestrial TV.
