Give me Pro forged irons inbetween the current Apex Pro and Apex CF16 in terms of size/topline and give me a larger, higher launching wood-like hybrid to replace the BB Alpha and to compliment the Apex hybrid...I'd be in HEAVEN.

Hoping for performance similar to Apex CF16 with better shaping in the short irons, and somehow fixing the fact that the 7 iron flies way further compared to the 8 iron as a result of it having the cup face and the shorter irons not. Oh, and they could also spin just a touch more and I'll be happy! Just.....please no green badging on the irons.

Whatever hybrids and irons come out next will have none of the technology that makes the Epic drivers "epic" so I don't quite understand the hype. I love my Epic SZ driver and fairway as much as anyone but, what's the point of this conversation?

This is just attempting to capitalize on the success of a driver (ie: M2 irons or what not). It's hard to beat the Apex Pro's in a forged cavity!!!! And they already have the Steelheads and Steelhead Pro's in the cast arena.

 

And I say this as an obvious BIG Callaway fan (see signature).

Because new equipment is fun! For me, I'm looking forward to an improvement over the apex CF16 irons I play. No harm in discussing future equipment. I couldn't care less about the name, or the fact that they will share the "epic" theme.

Titleist has the C16, sounds like Cally is coming with something, TM has the 750's, and rumors of Mizuno Yoro for the US.

 

Bob may have created his own competition, and they have a lot of experience....

 

The question is whether any will offer ground breaking technology or if it will just be for high rollers with no real playing advantage. I find it hard to believe there are many improvements left within the current rules of golf.

Yes, I have weakened the entire set actually, trying to get a bit more spin. But I don't want them to launch too high either. They are ok for now, I just have to get used to my 8 iron going 155 and my 7 iron going 175.....
