I got my Burner 3 wood with a DG S300 steel shaft (special order) last Friday and I love this club. :) I do not currently own a Driver (trying to decide on one) so I need something to hit off the tee. I played with it Sunday and hit 7 fairways (50%) which usually is a big problem for me. Two of the fairways I missed I hit my hybrid (see signature) off the tee and besides two horrible swings my misses where barely off the fairway. This 3 wood is very forgiving and kept me in play most of the time. I am a 14 handicap and I was playing with a guy who is scratch and he was hitting his Mizuno driver off all the tees and a couple of times I out drove him (230-240) and most of the time was within 5-10 yards of his tee shot. So this club will go a long way too. I actually was not swinging my best Sunday and think I can strecth this club to 240-250 when swinging good. It also works well off the ground. I highly recommend this club :beruo:

I just bought this club this weekend. Play one round with this club. It is a very easy club to hit, and the light shaft allows you to get the ball up in the aire very easy. This is by far one the great 3 wood on the market today. I rate it higher than the Nike SQ2 3 wood. i see why Roy Sabatini switched to this 3 wood.

I agree that the TM Burner 3 Wood is a money club. I just bought this club with a stock shift staff. I played it for the first time today without ever hitting it on the range. I used it off the tee on 4 holes and measured the results using Sky Caddy:

1st "drive" : 235 pulled left (medium trajectory)
2nd "drive" : 230 dead straight (medium trajectory)
3rd "drive" : 225 straight (pop up)
4th "drive" : 260 power fade left side of fairway (mid to high trajectory)

I am not a long hitter with my driver and I'm horribly inconsistent (left, right, pop-up, etc.)

This is my new driver for now. I didn't try it off the turf so I've got no feedback but it is a long, forgiving, easy to swing driver replacement for some of us.

I just demo'd this fwy wood and immediately bought it.

I first tried the cleveland hibore. It felt "clunky," and produced erratic shot patterns. I had no intention of trying the taylor made burner, but the salesman suggested it.

I crushed it straight and far. Seemingly perfect trajectory. (I usually balloon drivers and fwy woods, but these were perfect lasers just the right height). I tried various swings to see what kind of mishits I could produce. Swings that would normally slice like a banana went very far and only slightly slicing. I actually felt like it was easy to 'work' the ball, which I have never done with a wood before successfully.

Distance wise, the balls were hitting where my driver normally hits to, but much easier and more often. (The wall is 250, I was bouncing just shy of that and sometimes rolling into the net). This is Seattle, so that kind of carry is great for me, with the dense air. Even the fades were going as far. I really felt confident. Can't wait to play a round with it. I will update it here when I do. One caveat: I had to hit off the mats.

Beautiful club.

I was able to get a 14.5* TP with the stock REAX 75 X-stiff shaft. Everything here said is true...very easy to hit, set-up is nice at address and the SOUND...beautiful.

I hit a couple that made the guys in my group comment on it flying like a bullet...sounded like it too!

I would highly recommend the TP version (haven't hit the non-TP).

When the head of my trusty TM Titanium 16* Raylor with the bubble shaft flew off into the driving range sunset I knew it was time for some new stix. I hit that club off the tee about 50% of the time over the last 7 years or so. I went through several drivers but kept the Raylor...it was money 95% of the time.

I got a set of Hibores on the advice of the golf guys...liked the driver ok, but it tended to fade too much if I wasn't extremely careful. I also picked up a Hibore 3 wood with a V2 stiff. It was a nightmare to keep on the fairway. I have always hit my 3 woods with ease, but that thing gave me nightmares. I put up with them until my son jacked them from my bag. There was my chance.

I picked up a TM Burner 9.5, 15* Burner 3 wood and a 19* Burner Rescue. Let me tell you, all three of these clubs are money! I can toss the 3 wood on the tee (no tee) and play a mid/hi draw to the middle of the fairway almost without fail. The driver is long and controlled. The Rescue is a great club for that 210-225 range and easy to work right or left.

I gotta say, it must be the TM way of doing things. These feel and sound a great deal like my old TM's. The Hibores sounded like cheap cannons (the driver was long in the air but minimal roll out). The TM's sound like golf clubs and they fly right and run out like they should. I got the stock stiff shaft and see no reason to mess with them. They seem to fit me fine. So glad to be back into TM woods again. Too bad I can't find TM irons that suit me. Always go back to my Titleist or Mizuno irons. I tried the R7 TP irons...not for me. I ended up with Mizuno MP60's but I keep my 962's stashed for future use if needed.

I love this 3 wood. I went to golftown a few weeks ago and demo'd almost every 3 wood they had in the store. I picked up the stiff graphite vs the steel (which i couldnt hit) and im bombing them down the fairway everytime. Ive never had a 3 wood so easy to hit. My friend picked up the new calloway x hot which is not near as easy or forgiving to hit.

I play the 5w. (Don't have a 3w). LOVE IT. I've played both the TP, and the standard model. I currently have the standard model with a V2 shaft. The TP had a slightly open face, which would fade for me everytime. Unfortunately it would also slice like a mofo maybe 1 in 6 hits. 2 things I like better about the standard model 1. The square to slightly closed face. No more wicked slices. (the shaft also helps). 2. Slightly larger club head size. Easier to use off the tee.
