+1 (or 14, or however many mentions there have already been) for the JBL Clip 2. Does everything needed, with solid sound, able to connect another speaker, and I got mine for $21 plus tax. Can't beat that value.

I have UE Boom 2, it's well put together, waterproof and can withstand some rough action. It also fits nicely into my Clicgear cupholder.

 

Overall a very good investment.

 

I got one as a gift and don't even listen to music that much, but this has made me listen more often as the sound is great and everything else you mention. I seldom take it to the course (when I do it fits nicely in a cup holder), but my wife has it on on the patio almost every night when I get home.

After reading this thread, I went with the JBL Clip II. Thing is awesome, loud clear and clips right on to my bag. Definitely recommended.

Bang and olufson beo play a1. If you like actual music that’s not super bassy. If you like bassy music then maybe not. But if you like live music his will hold its own against any of the other stuff mentioned. Done tons of testing. Not a comparison. This is good sound.

I’m a greenskeeper and over half our staff uses these. Perfect for a golf cart or golf bag. Quiet enough so it’s only you or loud enough for a 4 some. They can take a beating, I get 3 days at work out of 1 charge and are easy to use.

I was a Kickstarter for Anker with thier Liberty wireless in-ears... fantastic sound. So i purchased their. 6 inch soundbar off Amazon. They can be paired in stereo, so I got two of them and I plan on mounting them (not perm) in my cart.

I was in the music business for 10 years, so I am pretty picky about sound. The clip by JBL is great, and the Bose Soundlink is fantastic. But I didnt care for the connection point of the clip and the Bose units are bigger than I want.

 

So we will give this a try, should have them Monday, or if the drones start delivering things in rural Florida, Sunday as it says in the email...(i wont hold my breath)

Used the JBL clip 2 at the beach and it is great.... can only imagine how good it will be on the course. Recommend it.

I am going to set up my two speakers to run in stereo from right behind the seat or from a mounting system (my kid will design it and build it on a 3D printer for me). So I can get my songs to sound good, but at a volume that doesn’t affect anyone. And then can rock out when just driving the cart around for fun

I loved my sound chuck but it died. So this was to replace that. Actually got them today. Sound is great. But haven’t figured out How to link them to gather in stereo

 

 

Update:

 

Got them paired in stereo. Sound is fantastic. Very small speakers but with nice clear sound. Loud enough to sit by the pool. Clear enough at a lower volume to have in cart and not disturb others.

 

Weird thing, there are instructions anywhere on how to pair them in stereo. I figured it out but not really sure how I did it.

Bose Colour Soundlink worked well for me. It’s biggest downside is the battery’ life. I’ve had a couple of them and within in a year the battery significantly has to be charged more often. Great sound quality and withstood some rough handling.

 

UE Boom 2 is what I’m using now outside and sometimes on the course. In my opinion, it has better sound quality and louder than the Bose Soundlink. Also has taken a variety of punishment very well. Battery life seems to be great as I’ve owned this one almost 18months. As stated it’s shape is perfect for fitting in a cup holder. Yes, I believe up to four of these can be connected in ‘party mode’ for crazy sound while being synchronized.

90% of my round is done walking and carrying bag so i went with UE Wonderboom. Looks to be good spec while keeping it small/light. It was either this or Flip 4 but noticed flip 4 is a tiny bit bigger/heavier. Should get it within next few days. Can’t wait.
