I'm still confused though, you know you cannot enter the 8 you made on 9 for hdc purposes right? With esc you have to enter a 6, if you don't it stops being "gamesmanship" and just becomes flat out cheating.

This is a good point. If you entered your total score without factoring in a 6 on the 9th hole and instead entered your total with an 8 on #9 you're quite literally cheating the handicap and equitable stroke control system.

Since everything you do is the way it is supposed to be done, why don't you tell us who you are and what league this is, so i can go over there and make all your fellow competitors aware of this thread and they can all pat you on the back and tell you how clever you are and compliment you on your brilliant strategy.......I dare you.

You guys should not be confused. He admitted that they are not using the USGA handicap system for handicaps. He said it is a "home-brewed" system set up by a guy in their league. This league looks to be about 180 degrees different than a typical league. One has to assume that the guys who run the league know what they are doing - and in fact like it. They are probably amongst the biggest winners over the course of the season. Why else volunteer your time and effort?

It is definitely not something I would be interested in - but he and others there seem to like it. The "winners" would be the most brazen (bold and without shame).

Might as well delete the thread 1t2golf. Our league plays by in house rules and not USGA or GHIN scorekeeping. People cant seem to differentiate it and its useless to explain it anymore.

Really not much to add but I will say that at the end of the day it is the person looking back at you in the mirror that you need approval from.

Bunch of people on the internet can help brighten the light but in the end it's just you.

This is not a post from a high horse. There are things for which I am not exactly proud of my reflection.

I told you guys exactly what I'm doing in my league and how my league rules are structured and how we play to protect your score to tabulate points. I'm not coming over to your church league and shaking you down with a accountant visor on while smoking a cigar. Shooting your handicap is 2/3 the points the other 1/3 is match play from net score. You guys just feel the need to vilify something you have no stake in and think your better cause somehow the USGA rule is the golfing bible and you never falter from it. Give me a break! It was fun trolling you guys in the late stages but I see you guys are getting way over worked up about it. Wobgon, If you did indeed lose your mother I apologize but if you didn't then your no better then what I was doing. It was fun guys but I'm out.

2. Yes, there are league rules. However, I'm sure the rest probably says USGA rules apply.

You are purposefully manipulating your hdcp higher, against the spirit of the game and USGA rules. You are cheating, end of discussion.
