What is the most tempermental club in your bag?

Gotta be my driver, I'm on a budget so it doesn't get much rotation but its easily the most tempermental.

I'll add another to the growing 3 wood camp. Played a shorter course for some years where it came along just to make up the numbers more or less, used for occasional tee shots on shorter tighter par 4s. Now a member at a longer course and I've forgotten the art of 3 wood playing off the deck. It's not really the club, although I've got a fair number (I would have to, wouldn't I, as I'm a member on this site), it's just me and a current lack of confidence.

Currently I'm using a Titleist 909F3, but I've dabbled in all things 3 wood with Titleist, TM and Sonartec. Maybe I should go to a 4 wood loft and make life a bit easier, combining it with my 19* hybrid. Fortunately I don't have a problem hitting long irons but there is still the need to hit a fairway off the deck at this new course.

I change my Wedge faces twice a year and my driver atleast once a year. Irons every 5 years and putter once every 10 or so years. 3 wood i have tried to change but nothing feels like my R7TP.

Driver definitely gets the most rotation in my bag but honorable mention goes to the putter. I honestly contemplate switching one of the two or both beofre every round...

I leave out one club or another just to save weight but the only one I typically switch just to see if it'll make me play a little better is the putter. And it usually does...eventually. Here's how it generally happens.

I'll not putt well for a week or two or ten so I'll leave the good putter at home and bring out one of the putters from the closet. Then most often I really, really putt like a spastic for one round with the change-up putter. So the next round I go back to the favorite putter and I'm so happy I swear it will never leave the bag again.

That promise will last anywhere from six weeks to six months before I have to "banish" it again for one round. I figure putting my best putter in the closet will teach me a lesson.

Taylormade TP Rescue 09 17 degree. Talk about hot or cold. I dont know how people hit this thing consistently. I either hit a snap hook or a booming perfect draw. It seems like you just have to hit this head about perfect to make it go straight. I hate that club, and love it sometimes.

For me, it's always been the club that fills my fairway wood slot. Couple of 3 woods, then a Super Hybrid, now I've finally found the G15 4wood. Good fortune has me comparing two builds (different shafts) to see which one gets the permanent bag spot

Other than that, things are pretty stable except for the driver shaft. I've changed 4 times since last October, yikes!!!!

Yea, Driver for me too.....

Just when i find one that feels great and I hit it well...it's off to the next one, which always sux and I switch again and again until another fits for a few months...such a horrible circle!

the driver used to be the most rotated club in my bag but i've finally been able to settle on one i can play fairly well.

next up, putter and wedges! i'm tired of playing the scotty cameron pro platinum newport midslant that's been in my bag for the past 10 years and my TM fe2o3 wedges are on their last legs.

I couldn't agree more. Today, I definitely loved that club. But I have no idea what tomorrow will hold with that club.

Driver is my best club.

stupid driver im on the 4th for this year but I think its a keeper ping g15 lol. Went thru dymo2, superfast 1.0, cobra s3, and finally settled down with the ping.
