Handcrafted Hzrdus yellow vs Taylormade Hzrdus yellow

What are the differences between these two shafts? I know the stock yellow offering in the 2017 M1 is not handcrafted so what features are different between the two? Thanks

Super interested in anyone who has trackman-ed them side by side.. bumping this one for sure. Or any handcrafted vs. watered down PX for that matter

Apparently, the non-handcrafted is made to the same exacting specs as the handcrafted albeit by machines not human hands. I read once that the handcrafted have tighter tolerances than the mass production model.

Agreed. Tighter tolerances during manufacturing and to me they feel very very similar.

I love the Yellow. To me, it feels a little more smooth than the Black...can feel it load more.

As for the handcrafted vs. non-handcrafted, I've heard the same as the others - same materials built to the same specs, just done by machines. I have not hit a non-handcrafted version yet but will once my King LTD order arrives.

Here's my experience.

Went through a driver fitting, hitting on a range, a month ago. The handcrafted Yellow Hzrdous performed the best for me out of all the shafts I hit. Along with the M1 440. Fitter wanted $900 for that setup. Just couldn't handle that. So I call Project X directly to ask them what difference I would see, performance wise, in the handcrafted versus the TM version. They pretty much told me I would see very little, if any, difference.

So I go into the local PGA Store and hit the M1 440 with the TM version of the Yellow Hzrdous with all the settings exactly the same as the outdoor fitting. My launch and spin were both a little higher but not that much. However, my angle of descent was much steeper which is bad for me. And the dispersion was way, way worse. Not even close. And I really didn't feel the smoothness with the TM version that I felt with the PX version.

I realize that this is not exactly apples to apples since one was outdoors and one indoors and it's Trackman versus whatever it is the PGA Store uses. It's just my experience and someone else may get different results.
