Obee and Isaacbm partnering in tournament.

Finally getting together with Obee to play as partners in a tournament next week.

 

We've been talking about it for a bit and he finally convinced me basically saying:

 

: "What's the point of owning your own business if you can't piss off in the middle of your busy season and play golf!??" Seemed perfectly reasonable to me.

 

Playing in the Grizzly at his club starting next Wednesday. Thought a few of you might want to follow the action.

 

I've always liked Obee's threads detailing his competitive rounds and what's going through the mind of a tournament player. I guess

I get to be in this one first hand.

He's coming off a great week where he came second in a best-ball event HIs partner in that event just qualified for the US Senior Open! They lost to a team with a reinstated amateur that had status on Canadian and Latin American tours.

That's a tough act to follow for me but I'm determined to not embarrass myself...

 

I'm warming up with a tournament this weekend in Calgary. 2 day stroke play event that I've finished 3rd,2nd,3rd last 3 years. Need to finally get a win!

 

Thought we'd do a thread to update how it all goes.

Would be an interesting stat to track, to me anyway. Getting freed up to fire at pins is a wonderful feeling. :)

We will be playing the blues. Should be plenty of birdies. 6,410, 7.17/135.

 

Dan hits it quite a bit longer than I do, but it's my home course, so I will feel more comfortable on approaches into our elevated and well-bunkered greens and when putting. My guess is we make about the same amount of birdies.
