Next Apex Irons Release

I know this has been discussed on this board before, but most information that I've read was from a few months ago. I did see in the Epic iron thread one poster mention that the next Apex irons will be released in the Fall. Does anyone have any more information on these or release timeframe? I believe the irons are on a two-year cycle so I would think they'd be released Q1 or Q2 of 2018 but I'm hoping in the next few months. Thanks in advance for all your input gentlemen.

Apex CF16 will continue into 2018. They have had more demand for them this year than they did last year when they were released.

I have also heard that new Apex models will be introduced in February at the 2018 PGA Show.

 

The CF 16's are still moving well, so why bring out anything new just yet?

Apex CF16 will continue into 2018. They have had more demand for them this year than they did last year when they were released.

 

I might be wrong but I work with custom fittings in one of Europes biggest retail stores and had the callaway rep over to show us the new Epic so I asked him about every new release Callaway was planning and the CF16 was going to have an upgrade. But lets keep all doors open :)

The Epic irons/hybrids was a surprise but I assume Callaway will have something up their sleeves for a fall release.. they always do..

If they do release another set then they're quite foolish for competing with themselves. If they want people to upgrade, they should revamp the x forged 13 with the cupface as already mentioned. They wont release a new iron this year. They will release for 2018.

The Epic was not a planned release. The R&D cheif wanted to design his own club and got green light if he "spared at nothing and went all in". And so, the Epic irons were born, apparently.

Apex CF 16 were launched in October 2015. I'd expect a two-year cycle, since the Epic irons aren't really a competitor or a normal release. I'd hope maybe we'd see some similar features at a lower price point, though.

 

Anybody know about new MD wedges? Those are about to hit the 2 year mark, too, I think.

The CF16 has been a hit for Callaway. See lots of them on courses these days. I've been hoping for an update this year but also hearing the new Apex line won't come out until next spring.

 

I wanted to play those irons as they look great but were super-low spin rockets for me. They went a long, long way but they were hard to stop on a firm green. My wait continues.

Just bought 3 through PW with Recoils on Saturday. The heads are on backorder till late June. Guessing by that, sales are still strong.
