Brooke's playing almost every event. I still think she believes she has something to prove.

 

I was extremely impressed with Michelle Wie. She looked like the Wie we wanted to see play after her USWO win. I hope she can keep it up.

 

Ko looks like to me she's still searching for some consistency. She'll get there, but it might take most of the season to finally get used to all the changes she's undergone.

Moriya had another good week, but the putter also let her down. 'Same for Jenny.

 

What's it going to take for Sung Hyun to put together four solid rounds? She seemed to be walking around yesterday thinking about the U.S. Open that she was missing on TV.

 

Another nice tournament for Madelene. 'Probably won't contest for ROY, but she's starting to show a lot of potential.

 

Danielle had another strong finish, but once again a poor round kept her out of contention.

IMHO Brooke plays loads of tournaments because she doesn't know any better. It's a family business and they're just keeping on keeping on, it seems there's not a lot of tenured professional oversight going on there, even if she is an IMG client.

 

Anyhoo I don't see where she has anymore to "prove" than anyone else, not sure where that view comes from.

I'm sure they'll settle on a more realistic cadence of tourneys and breaks down the line.

I know S.H. Park just switched to a new caddy, but agree, she just does not seem to be able to do it for 4 days. There are flashes of brilliance, but the distance control on wedges and putting seem inconsistent.

 

I think it is just a matter of time. I also heard she puts an unreal amount of pressure on herself. She needs to take a page from Koepka, quit trying so hard to win, and just play, tons of talent.

They mentioned Brooke's schedule in a broadcast last season. (Paraphrasing) She said she keeps playing because in her free time she'd be golfing anyway.

This is such a familiar scenario. Can anyone actually point out the steps a LPGA golfer needs to take to "get some independence", how it's done, and some examples of golfers who've achieved this? Plenty haven't.....
