Is it just me, or is Open coverage unbearable?

Don't get me wrong. I love the parts when they show how difficult the course is set up. But, the endless pontification back and forth - one opinion this, another opinion that...has gotten pretty bad. If they drop it down to the occasional insult they'll be getting into ESPN-style douchebaggary. Will enjoy watching the pros play this course with the volume off with a cold one. Thanks to the recent poster here who pointed out that by selecting Spanish before the weekend we can just hear the birds, blimp and crowd...

We all hate it. Joe buck should stick to football, they should not be calling a shot a "tour saucicle," some of the on course audio is horrendous and holly sanders looks like a prostitute. On the flip side i have to say it's gotten a lot better since chambers bay and the protracted and graphics are nice

I think joe buck and zinger are fine and the ABC crew that came with alongside. At least they got rid of Norman who sounded like he had the mic shoved up his nostrils . Don't care for bacon and that sean guy. Fax is ok. Can't understand why Sonders is with kusilias. Nobody likes that guy . That's well documented.

Would much rather watch this instead of a ball in the sky which CBS does for 4 hours at the Masters. Love all the graphics and visual they are using. Announcers are what they are unless it's Gary McCord who never won on tour and sure doesn't win any broadcasting awards.

I can deal with the announcer babble but what I cannot stand is that constant drone of the airplane, I assume the one that gives us a "bird's eye" view of the course. I makes listening to the commentary unbearable. I would think that in this age of technology there is a way to somehow mute that sound or, more intelligently, ground that aircraft--we don't need pictures of fan lined golf course enough to have to tolerate a circling, droning, droning, droning, droning, droning plane.

Drives me crazy--the first two tournaments of the year in Hawaii are ruined for the same reason.
