Finally won, four tickets for Wednesday.

 

Now the question is do I sell them and buy two tickets for Thursday...

I enter for max tickets for every day including practice rounds. After 5 years of trying, I finally got chosen for 2 tickets on the Thursday round of 2016. The course is a thing of beauty and worth seeing in person for anyone that is lucky enough.

I still enter my name for another chance.

Agreed - newbie, so I need some advice on where to stay. Just looked and all hotels within about 30 miles are already booked.

 

Where did you look? I found several still available early in the week. Just booked mon-weds 8 miles from the course

 

Was looking thurs-sun, so that may have been the difference. Found a Hilton chain about 20 miles away for almost nothing. Im guessing there was a glitch in their system and it had not changed to Master's pricing. Checked back late last night, and the prices are $450 higher per night. Guess it was meant to be!

I did Masters, The Open, PGA in 14,15,16 respectively. Was hoping to do the US Open in 2018 but looks like I won't complete my career grand slam until 2020.

So after some research, I might be able to do this and have some cash to spend on the trip.

 

Last year then lowest price on Stubhub for Wednesday tickets was $1500 and Thursday were $2400... so if i sell my 4 Wednesday's for $6000 and buy 2 Thursdays for $4800 I think that leaves me with like $1200 travel/merchandise cash :beruo:

 

Obviously there's fees associated with all of this... Stubhub's fees make Ebay and Paypal look like saints haha.

I've been to many practice rounds. Won 3 times through the lottery and went a few times with ppl who also won. This year for the first time I only signed up for Thurs and Friday tickets. Never been to the real thing. Doubt I will ever win those.

Clearly because I haven't gotten my rejection email, that means I'm definitely winning something...right...right?? :tongue:

 

I will say the best thing about not getting the chance to go in 2017 was I saved myself $400-$500 in the gift shop
