I play a mix - I have the GP Tour Velvet Super Tack on my Driver/3 wood/Hybrid and the GP NDMC on everything else. So far they've all held up in the SC humidity - no real issues or loss of performance/feel.

 

I used to play 3GEN Crosslines but I found the feel has changed. I recently tried gripping a couple woods with different Lamkin grips that were lying around (REL Ace 3GEN and I Lines) and they start to slip in my hands in hot weather after about 9 holes. I think I need something with more texture, but don't like cords.

 

One grip that looks interesting to me is the Pure DTX, does anyone have any feedback on this or other grips playing with no glove?

LOOOONG time crossline user, but recently I bought some C Taper pulls that had fresh CP2 Mid wraps, it was like the clouds of heaven parting.

 

Fantastic grip.

 

I can count on two hands the number of times I have used a glove in my life, all of them were the hottest and most humid of days from when I lived in the midwest.

Currently have Winn Dritacs on irons, and dritac wraps on driver, 3 wood and driving iron. Have pure p2 wraps on the wedges. I also have a Lamkin N-Dur on my 5 wood - older grip that can be hard to find, but if kept clean a very tacky grip.

I haven't used a glove since my Sr. year in HS . Coincidentally that was the year I discovered Lamkin Crossline midsize Cords it will be 20 years in the fall , I just buy them by the case now !

Seriously though I cannot stand the feel of rubber in my hands (get your mind out of the gutter) and simply love the Best Grips. The Grip Master grips are good, but for the price and supporting an advertiser here, you cannot beat it.

Royal Sand Wrap. Best non-cord rubber option I've found. Works great without a glove, use them on my wedges around the greens when I usually remove my glove.

I've only used Tour Velvet. I'd be open to trying different grips, however. I don't remember the last time I played with a glove.

NDMC destroys my hands, even with a glove. You guys must be lumberjacks or something to play them with no gloves.

 

CP2 Pro is nice, mildy tacky and soft. Doesn't handle moisture or humidity that well in my opinion.

I play CP2 Wraps right now, but if I could chose (I can't due to my job in the golf business), I would go with leather, Best Grips provides a great product - especially, if you live in the US and they are easy to get without a lot of shipping cost.

Ping 5L. I think it's their stock grip. Like the mcc it has scoffed rubber for the lower hand, but without cord for the upper hand. I find cord grips tend to chafe a little.

As an added bonus ping has a size between standard and midsize saving me the hassle of extra tape wraps, and they're cheap.

Do all the Best Grips have that stitched spine down the back? I had a wedge with a Superstroke or other grip like that and couldn't get used to the teardrop-shaped feel.

Yes, but I would say our handstitch is less noticeable than a machine stitch because nothing is folded over.

Been gloveless since the early 90s and have tried almost everything, have been using Winn Dri-Tacs for at least the last 6 years. Nothing comes close

Grip master kangaroo..I have a box of the john Daley grips that I might be able to use till I'm to old to play
