Ah, like I said, I figured that they had some access. I spend Xmas/New Years down there every year and usually another 4-6 weeks down there over the course of the year. The Nobu and Hard Rock have really ruined a lot of the views on the Dunes course but that isn't as big of a deal as what they did to a couple of the holes a few years ago. I think it hurt the course substantially despite the continued rise in the rankings. I like El Cardonal every bit as much as the Dunes. The 13th hole on the Dunes is the worst hole on the property by a large margin and it was impacted by the hotels. 18 is fine but I don't love it either.

 

The Hard Rock is an eyesore IMO but I totally get why it has to be there.

i emailed both hard rock and nobu hotel a few days ago on course access and havent heard back from either.

i suspect nobu has some access because i did find online somewhere that they mention golf as a featured activity.

i finally got a reply back from the concierge at nobu hotel. they confirmed they do have access to the courses at Diamante at the normal rates of $320. they said that diamante though will only take reservations once you have checked into Nobu, so if i wanted to book diamante earlier, i have to do it through the concierge at Nobu.

looks like they also provide access to cabo san lucas country club as well. attached is the info she sent me.

Just got the same information. Seems like a bit of a dice roll given the price of staying at Nobu. I'd hate to show up and find out there were no times available, or did I misread the policy?

You can book ahead of time, you just have to do it through Nobu concierge instead of with diamante directly. So shouldn't be a problem. The prices at Nobu for a basic room aren't too bad compared to other places. I checked the rates for our trip to Cabo in September and it was pretty close to what we are paying for the all inclusive I already prepaid.

Don’t be nervous my wive and I did it last year, and was a breeze. They didn’t do a hard sale on us at all and we left very comfortable. The only problem was I didn’t ask them to wave my entire greens fee. You enter the presentation not knowing the ‘deal’ each person received, however most get their greens fee waved and I had to pay to play.
