Wasatch Mountain Lakes course or Mountain Dell are both fun courses that will show off the scenery. Soldier Hollow's two courses are generally considered pretty good, although I don't love them, they're worth playing as well. Always enjoyed Valley View up north a bit. If you want to drive south, Hobble Creek is a great track too. There's a lot of solid public golf around the area! Enjoy

I never miss Valley View, a great course. I also like Bountiful Ridge. Both are reasonable priced.

So are you going to be at either the convention center downtown or in sandy?

If you're in downtown the wasatch or soldier hollow courses are amazing but a bit further of a drive. Mountain dell is much closer and has 2 courses to play and a great option.

Just north of downtown is bountiful and they have two good courses which are eaglewood and bountiful ridge.

Just a little bit further north is my favorite course, Valleyview.

Let us know where you're staying and time you have to work within. Awesome courses all over Utah, just depends how much you want to drive.

I also highly suggest the canyons which is at park city ski resort. Only been open for 3 years but truly a fun course to play.

I'll second Valley View! Soldier hollow is a quality course as well ( hosted US mid am) if you can get on any of the private courses in Park City area do! (specifically Glenwilde or Victory Ranch) They are outstanding, top tier golf courses.

Not to hijack the thread....but staying in SLC at the grand america hotel...3 days free for golf, probably play 2 of them...aug 5,6,7

No, lived in Sandy for 4 years during grad school though. Absolutely loved it there!

Nice! Well valleyview isn't a far drive and as others confirmed, it's a great golf course. Really is one of my favorites besides the one I love across from, Talons Cove.

Talons is on the west side of Utah lake and a bit of a drive from where you're at. They had Monday qualifiers for the web dot com event there two weeks ago.

If you want a really scenic golf course that Utah has, I would suggest bountiful ridge (right around the corner from you) or The Canyons.

Mountain Dell which is just right up the canyon has two courses. I like mountain better than lake side but both are solid. It's another great golf course.

Let me know if you have any questions. You can always message me if you want. I golf different courses every week so I'm used to driving and the freeways are great here.

I played Soldier Hollow Gold course today and it was a really good course. I definitely would recommend that course.
