Who was the guy that was posting a couple years back about how all the club manufacturers were peddling inferior product and he had created clubs that would revolutionize the equipment industry? But, the major manufacturers had been railroading him because they were afraid he'd put them all out of business. Or, something along those lines.

 

And, who can forget KingLeo (or whatever)- "don't poke the bear".

 

That sounds pretty funny as well.

 

I might be off on the other one, but I do remember his posting being that of someone whose first language was definitely not English, and he knew WAAAAAY more than everyone else (a great ingredient for an entertaining thread), even though he came to the boards asking for advice about stuff.

edit FYI- the KingLeo thread is such a blast. It was a perfect storm of two guys coming together to form a match made in heaven. I had forgotten how entertaining that saga was, and I haven't even read halfway through the OP in that thread's rambling, incoherent opening post.

Wow! I just finished reading the entire KingLeo vs KC thread (yes yes full life I know).

That was epic! The odd thing is that KC guy somehow managed not to get banned. Well that made my interneting day.

Because, you know, professional golf is prohibitive because caddies cost so much.

Actually I made an offer to him to caddie for free. Also made the offer to Drew as at one point there was a "never going to happen" match between him and JS. Drew has a lot of game and can back it up. Jones talked a lot of game and couldn't back anything up.

Actually I made an offer to him to caddie for free. Also made the offer to Drew as at one point there was a "never going to happen" match between him and JS. Drew has a lot of game and can back it up. Jones talked a lot of game and couldn't back anything up.

 

Those were good times, myself and many other PNW folks offered to play him as well and he never took anyone up on it.

I wanted a showdown at Chambers, but alas it wasn't meant to be :)

King also was an all timer. Was he the guy who was posting in the thread till real late in the night and posted something like "I've spoken with my legal council and he advised me to not post any longer"

He was standing on a range with no vice, puts tape on about half of the area he needed to, gets the grip halfway on, and then just leaves it there and goes "see! that's how you do it!"

 

So someone (possibly me, I can't remember) starts a thread about this guy and we all start roasting him, and the guy from the video shows up and starts arguing with us! It was pretty great.

 

Another good one was when the pipe dream show came out and mark burke showed up to fight with us, he said he was going to sue me into oblivion at one point lol!

The Mark Burke thread was epic, I never really could quite determine if it was really him or just someone pretending to be him. I do think I had him convinced I was dating Halle Berry before him though.
