Stricter Dress Code Coming For LPGA

You guys know if you want to see actual hot women and barely any clothing there's other sites besides Golfwrx. Outside of this LPGA vacuum, Belen Mozo is the only "player" that is a smokeshow off the course.

 

I think it's more of a fetish thing... Watching attractive women who know how to play gold who also happen to be fully clothed.

Which is exactly why the LPGA is not overly concerned about losing the viewership of that particular demographic.

Irrelevant. The dress code changes were put in place so that the LPGA put forth an appropriate image for a professional sports business. Complaints were made by sponsors and the players board approved the changes. End of story and old news.

Losing the "fans" that are put off by the changes is about the equivalent of losing the "baba booey mashed potatoes" crowd. Good riddance. Most of the clothing issues were from Instagram models/golfers and the LPGA chose wisely to put a stop to such attire on tour

Honestly, in my opinion there are very few attractive women on the LPGA tour. I would be grateful if they would cover themselves up because I don’t want to look at what they have to offer.

Well, slow week with no tourney, so here's my two cents.

 

First, we are all humans. It's in our nature to notice attractiveness. We're bad at turning that off. Sometimes that's no harm, sometimes that's bad.

 

But:

 

Humans are complex.

Humans can have more than one motivation for something at the same time.

 

Finding some players attractive, or using that as an initial point of appeal for the tour, doesn't invalidate anything else. It's not some failure of integrity. You can find some players attractive, and still care very much about other players and be very interested in what's going on with them. It's not like people can't do both. And if something gets people to check out the tour, and then see the whole story it has to offer, that's a win! More viewers is one of the top things the tour needs.

 

I can't think of the dress code crisis that caused this new code. Players seemed dressed fine or unremarkable. We mostly only see what a few leaders and Michelle are wearing. And I think the clothing sponsors have some input here, which means financial interests too.

 

Lots of things in life, the middle course is a sweet spot. We can imagine what a dress code like that that might have sounded like, something more typical, more along the lines to just stay classy. Instead, the new code comes off as kind of extreme, prudish. It's angry, genuinely angry. What's with the all-caps? Where did this anger come from?

 

So not a fan, don't think it's helpful. Hope it fades away along with whatever complaint or anger inspired it. Ideally it gets quietly replaced with something more calm and moderate, that isn't literally yelling at and threatening people.

Feminism FTW.... No wonder the LPGA is losing viewership... They probably received too many angry emails, letters, and phone calls from jealous wives who didn't want their husbands looking at these PYTs... A good number of people who watch LPGA tournaments want to see spaghetti straps and itty-bitty skirts or the skirt/short combination things (whatever they're called)... What's wrong with these people?

 

Replace "a good number of people" with "very few" and you'll have a much more accurate statement.

 

Sorry to break it to you buttercup, but attractive LPGA players such as Michelle Wie, Cheyenne Woods, and Lydia Ko showing a little skin can only enhance the experience of watching LPGA events.

She might look alright in those kind of colours, but quite frankly he looked like a rodeo clown. I wondered if it was part of the poor man's contract or what the story was? Surely he couldn't have dressed up like that of his own free will?
