There's absolutely nothing wrong with playing good golf and also looking really, really eye-popping good doing it!

I think it's all hate from other tour players. To even say "Do you really need ventilation for your side-boob? It's not going to make your score better" is mind boggling.

I'm amazed at how many people either can't read or don't. From the posters here and on a Women With Drive Instagram post I don't get it. All the comments on "I'll still where skorts", they didn't say no skorts.

 

Reading comprehension just fails many people or they just want to complain. 98% of the outfits worn in a tournament fall completely under the new guidelines. Heck even Michelle's athletic racerback shirts would be acceptable if they had a collar, which Lexi wears quite often. Many of the girls complaining are women who this will never have an effect on. Which Instagram pro will play on the LPGA? Most can't even qualify for the Symetra tour.

I don't think anyone really cares what the ladies wear while playing golf, I'm not watching LPGA golf for the sexy outfits. I am curious what and who is the driving force behind the new dress code. Who pushed for the change, members of the tour, sponsors or Mike Davis and why? Seems such a change warrants some transparency as to the reasoning behind it.

I never realized this was an issue at LPGA events until this announcement. I dont watch the LPGA regularly but have more the past couple years and never once saw any offensive outfits

Just from my noob perspective it's not so much a problem with the top players but the low ranking amateurs like Spiranac that are giving the LPGA girls a 'bad' name. If you can't win with your game, use xoxo :taunt:

This is a preventative measure. With the rise of the golf sex symbols etc. they know a time will come in the very near future, where someone is going to have the look and the game, and will want to push boundaries. They want to have this in place and understood before it happens. As our society continues to go the route it's going there will be some beautiful blonde from ASU or somewhere, with game, that will want to wear a sports bra and gym shorts and say it's my body and my right to dress like this, this is what I'm comfortable playing in.

 

The LPGA is just trying to get ahead of the curve. They will just stick a mock collar on Michelle and let it ride.
