I put a strip of lead tape across the bottom of my 2m cs and it feels much better now. I would agree that all of the ones I've picked up in store feel lighter than what I would think a 350g head should feel like.

I didn't really like the balance of the stock setup so I pulled the stepped shaft and installed an Apollo smoke black stepless shaft (.370 tip). It feels soooo much better. It now feels like a 350g weight head. Also, I think the smoke black shaft looks better than the matte-ish stock shaft

Not sure how much pic will do it justice.. The shaft PVD Smoke Black color/ sheen is almost identical to the color/ sheen on the sole of these putters.

This is really strange. I swear there are two different stock shafts. I've seen pics of the black 7s with a matte shaft and a glossy shaft. You're saying your 330 came with a matte shaft? Most of the stock shafts I've been in the blacks (including my 2W) are a glossy black stepped shaft that looks very close to the new on you just put in. Can you share a pic of your stock shaft for comparison?

I tried the most of the red and black models at Golftown today. The 3T is still my favorite after trying most of the models. I find it's the only face balanced putter that set up square. I find the 7 models always lay open faced. The one thing I wish Odyssey did was use a stepless shaft.

I wouldn't say the stock shaft was matte black, but I wouldn't consider it glossy either. If I had to pick a sheen, I'd say it's satin black. It looks like a thick powder coated finish that doesn't have the metallic sheen of a PVD coating that you get with Smoked, Black Chrome, or Black Nickel shafts.

 

I don't have the stock shaft any longer... Put it in my old Versa 330m and sold it.

Loving my 2M CS at 30.25" vs my Ghost Spider that I had the boys at Conti Golf DJ finish. At this playing length I am certainly wanting some heavier weights (currents are 15grms) to finish her off for good. I know we have a few other threads on this so here are a few pics I snapped when rolling the rock on the bur bur carpet.

I just dropped my 3T off at the club builder to have him cut an inch off the tip of the shaft. He did it while I was waiting and the result is absolutely perfect. I don't know what the toe hang is now but it's no longer offset as much or face balanced. It's curing at the moment but I'll take pictures when I get it back. I was totally expecting the 7S to be returned but so far, I like it better than the 3T. We will see how it is when it's done with its adjustment.

Started with the 7s and returned it for the 3T. Fits my eye better and after 2 rounds loving it so far. Looks great and feels as good as the spider in terms of well balanced/stable in the swing.

Just the opposite for me. Started with the 3t and now have the 7s. A bit more toe hang with 7s, it seems to fit my eye and stroke better as well. Golfers are a finicky bunch!

As promised, repeat photos of original O-works #7 face balanced vs slight toe hang in the Black 7s slant neck! I got in 9 holes this morning with the new Black 7s slant neck and being 2 degrees flat fits my eye very well. It rolled nicely as well. That "ping" sound everyone was noticing on the black 7s models was not evident to me.

Got a red 7s coming in off BST to demo as well... which means look out for the the other two O-works #7 to be listed onBST soon or else the wife will notice way too many putters laying around!

What's the diameter size for the shaft? Has anyone measured it before?

I'm planning to install UST putter shaft but haven't received the putter yet.

Just need to make sure if it's 0.355 or 0.370 hosel tip.

Is the slant neck on the 7s more towards the center than the Spider? Not sure I would like that.

How accurate is the toe hang pics with the grips resting on the table? I think that must at least have some small influence on it, right?

I bought the black 7S and I think it will be in the bag for a long time. Looks great and has incredible feel, but I have one issue. It looks like during manufacturing when they were painting the white Odyssey in the cavity of the putter, they got a drip on the black flat area in the cavity. Obviously can't see it from address but it bothers me.

 

For anyone who has refinished / painted a putter, if I use something like OOPS or GOOF-OFF to dry to remove the dried drip, will it damage the black finish on the putter at all? I welcome any other suggestions to remove the paint without harming the finish.
