What's the feel like with these inserts? I recently got a MXM #7, but I'm not digging the feel. Sort of feels dead off the face. That's my second Odyssey that I tried forcing myself into liking. Maybe third times a charm because that 3T is calling my name.

I have a hard time explaining how the microhinge face feel but it's soft. It doesn't feel like a traditional insert putter to me. I think it feels great, like really great. But I also love the feel of the MXM #2 I have. The good news is any golf shop local to you will have the O Works putters so you can at least get a feel for the insert.

I have my 2W!! I'll be heading to the practice green at lunch time.

pics?

This is all I could get so far. Such a nice square look to this putter without being too big. I've been waiting for a plumbers neck wide blade forever and I think my dream may finally be a reality.

2W.jpg

Just an FYI, they had a wide blade plumbers neck on the 2016 tank 1 model. Weight ranged from 365-385g.

Yours is a great looking putter at address. Enjoy.

You're right! I remember considering that but I play at 33" and I remember reading too much bad info about cutting down counterbalanced putters.

This just made me wonder, though. Do the tank weights fit the O-Works putters? Or further, has anyone figured out any other way to add weight in a "factory" fashion?

Exactly as I had customized...

Red 7s

Black shaft

Pistol GT Tour

34"

Now do I have the guts or skill to color the white dots and line...

Can't wait for Vegas this weekend!

Btw, I don't know why the picture orientation changes when attaching. I even tried to change from the original but still came out sideways...oh well.

Dang it, went in to check out the two 7s colors last night and walked out with both!

The Black is clean and stealth looking but the Red finish is beautiful. One thing I noticed is there some additional thin black lines on the Red and to my eye a bit busy. Will have to see if they are as distracting on the putting green. Going to test them out at lunch today.

In my unscientific session on the greens, hands down the Black head was better for me. Black was dropping putts, the Red wasn't. You might think it's in my head but the Red was pulling a bit & not sure why. The lengths are the same, the grips are the same (and not skewed). I really wanted to like the Red head because it looks so pretty but I'm going with the one I have better results with.

Does anyone know how these weights are working? Pretty obvious question, but the website just says 350g for all lengths. I figured with the weights now it would be like Cameron's (same head weight and then adjusted for length based on sole weights 10s, 15s, 20s).

I prefer a heavier head weight and was thinking about buying a 33" or 34" and then adjusting to length for the heavier feel/SW.

I got my 7S today and the first thing I did was unscrew the weights. They are labeled 10g on the inside and there is a cavity. I took some tungsten putty and brought each weight up to 15 grams for a 360 gram headweight. I could have easily fit another 5 grams in so I know you can take it up to 370 for sure with no issues. These weights are different than the ones I had on an original R-Line O-Works. Those weights did not have as large of a cavity. SO depending on the model, your results may vary.

Thanks, I was planning on getting the 3T, what length is yours? 35"?

34". Better check the 3T before leaving the store if this is a deciding factor. I think the 7s head is heavier overall and probably can use lighter weights to get it up to 350. The 3T is a smaller head.
