Odyssey O-Works Red and Black Retail Putters

Anyone know what the toe hang is on the #2W? Thanks!

Hope this helps. Had to wait for the group in front anyway.

What grip did you go with?

P2 Aware Tour. This might be a game changer.

i wish i could try this before buying

Yeah they're hard to find. I bought it off Amazon. We all try a lot of different things that we think might help but in the grand scheme most of those thing are a lot more than $30.

The shapes of the grips may not be for everyone. I actually bought it for just the shape. I have a very strange putting grip and this grip feels so good in my hands. But after installing it I realized that there may really be something to their technology. I really feel like I'm making a MUCH more natural stroke and release. I don't even need to think about controlling the face at all. They're probably not for everyone but so far I'm a believer and there are plenty of great testimonials as well.

Rolled some today, the Black 7s is the leader so far, it lines up easily and looks so clean. I thought the red might be cool, but not the same effect as the Spider. I didn't get to try the 2W or 330 yet. Now what grip to get?

I love the black shaft in my 3T. Does anybody know what it is made of? It doesn't feel like a steel shaft to me but I could be wrong.

I tried the 2W, 3T, 330M, and 7S in both colors. I guess I'm on the bandwagon because the black 7S had me tempted to buy it on the spot. Sets up great and I was making everything. As one who uses an Anser style putter, it took a few rolls but I easily adjusted. I like my putters flat so I will probably order one 2* flat.

i think the little bit of toe hang has made the switch from blade to the 7s really easy for me. i don't have to go to SBST, but can keep with my slight arc

Rolled the Red #7 yesterday! Made everything, it's absolutely gorgeous. I didn't think I'd like the red , but its money. I would've bought, but I just ordered the #3T hours before. :(

My apologies if this is not the right forum to post this.

I'm lookimg for some insight on the putter below. I came across it on the auction site and took a flyer on it hoping this would be an early proto of the putters released recently. To my eye, nothing is screaming fake and looks pretty legit comparing the finish/font/face insert of the retail model. It has a plumber neck which is ultimately why I bought it.

What do you guys think?

I'm no expert but it's looks pretty legit. My guess is some sort of tor prototype. Any serial number on that guy?

No serial anywhere

If its a prototype or tour issue i'm sure the id label will be just below the grip. May have been removed but putter looks legit!

That is a super pickup. So many cool things going on with it from the neck to the same colored sole different from the retail version. Game it proudly.

Did a little more digging. Looks like that putter is pictured here with the original red prototypes earlier in the season. Can't imagine they made more than a couple. If the pics are in the correct order it looks like the one with that neck was not painted red on the bottom. Interesting.

Edit: after looking at yours again it looks slightly different in the neck. I'm assuming one way or another it was still from that batch of prototypes they used to get feedback from the players. You'll probably never know for sure.

Good info thanks. This look pretty much like the ones in the link, but with a plumber neck.

Cool putter, is it a SB or CH with knuckle?

CH with knuckle I believe. I'll take a better picture of the neck.

Just got my black 7s. Been rolling at the house since I am a new dad with a kiddo 2 days old. Must say, this feels sweet. My first mallet style putter and I think it's in the bag to stay. Have to see how it performs on course after 1 hour of sleep ha!

Haha I'm in the same boat. My wife had our baby girl (first kiddo) just over a week ago. Between the burping/laundry/diaper changes, I haven't had a chance to go pick up my black 7s sitting at my local shop to try out yet. Looking forward to comparing it to my black DJ spider. Love the slant neck on a mallet look! Putt well good sir!

It's there. See pics 13-18.

Looks a little like the neck on my Japan made SX in that it's not any sort of "traditional" neck but almost like another small section of shaft cut to resemble a hosel.

Played my first 2 rounds with it this weekend. Took a while for me to get used to the insert as the microhinge felt really weird to me and I was really struggling from outside of 15 ft. That being said it is super easy to line this one up and I felt as though everything was going to go in from inside 10. If your stroke is sbst then this putter feels super natural. I do hope though that a weight kit comes out as it does feel a bit light for my liking.

Anyone know the hosel diameter on the 7s? I'd love to pull the stock shaft and install a KBS Black Chrome (same shaft as spiders) as it is more similar to the color of the head. I wish Odyssey would have used "smoke black" shafts since the head is more of a gunmetal color than black

Are you talking about the KBS Black Nickel shafts? They really aren't much different from the shaft that comes in the O-works black. If you wanted less contrast you'd need a matte finish on the shaft. It's the shiny shaft that really brings out the contrast in the head in my opinion. I also had a KBS black nickel in a putter before and they wear really easily and look trashy pretty quick. I'm hoping this odyssey shaft holds up better.
