Did this company aid in the Golfsmith inventory transition? Maybe that's where some of this was from and they needed a platform to offload it?

The Hogan irons and one of the wedges I bought had Golfsmith tags on them. I expect it was from when GS went under.

 

Update: The store I went to had some stuff by all left handed or women's stuff. Not alot but about a dozen clubs or so. There was some gear there from Dick's Sporting Good's so I think they were also in the mix of it. The lady there told me they got alot of clubs from them to sell.

 

EDIT: I did get some natural wood golf tees, Odyssey chip/marker's and some Golf Pride grips for cheap though!

Picked up a jpx 900 driver, great big bertha hit a few times no sky marks and 2 callaway tour grind wedges in plastic all right handed $90 for all in Butler outside of Pittsburgh, lots of lefty stuff still there

Did not find anything at the last open Kmart in Albuquerque, but it's also not on the closing list. Additionally, I only looked in the sporting goods section. Is there a separate clearance section I should have looked in?

 

Also I'm curious if there is correlation with stores that have stock and these Golf stores that went out of business?

The store I was in had the clubs in a separate area that had stuff from Dicks, nowhere near sporting goods.

The guy I talked to seemed to think that the huge two boxes of Dicks stuff they were unloading would be all they get...don't know if I'd consider him a reliable source though.

I checked the one in Calhoun Georgia and only a couple of Adams hybrids left. The lady that worked there told me someone came in a couple weeks ago and bought basically everything. I did get a great deal on a ninja turtle bicycle for my two-year-old.

 

If anyone finds a set of Nike vapor pro combo's and is willing to help a fellow member out let me know.

 

Remember which model Adams and price? Calhoun is just a little bit on down from here in Ringgold and could make it an outlet mall run as well since school starts back for the kids in a week.

I'm fine with this as well as long as it's reasonable haha. Everyone knows what people are paying so it's really going to be tough to make much $$ on here anyways. My guess is most will Craigslist or fleabay everything.

If anyone find a store that has some good wedges, I am looking for either a 54/58 or a 52/56/60 set. I am right handed and don't care on brand as long as they are a good brand like Mizuno, Callaway, Hogan, Ping, etc. but no Pinemeadow, Topflite stuff! I currently have a cheapo set! LOL

 

Of course I will pay for the clubs and shipping and provide something/gift to you for your trouble/time!

An Adams Blue 3 & 4 hybrid both in reg flex. I did not check the price. There was a ping gorge 58 WS as well as random Cobra fly z irons and a big bertha 6i and pw.

 

I snagged a Yoda hybrid headcover for 3.50, that was sweet.

Guilty!! Not a Titleist guy but think it's still a good deal. I could be wrong. Was gonna give it to my old man but decided to see if someone would pay for it first. I'm lefty and while they had a ton of stuff, most of it was junk. I got a 60 ping wedge. There were about 10 potential sets of nice irons that people must have grabbed one iron out of set and ruined them.

A set of new, quality irons for $70 is going to make me lose sleep.

I saw 3 or 4 sets like this as well, I expect that may be part of the reason they ended up at Kmart liquidation in the first place.

 

Just for the record, my wife was less impressed with my Hogan irons purchase than I was.

It's not as bad as the dude trying to sling two sets of irons for over $600 each, but who am I to judge.
