Somebody at DSG is a DA. Throw that ish in DSG stores for double the prices K-Mart is charging and they wouldn't last a day. What gives?

 

I'm wondering this myself. Whole sets of irons for $70? I mean come on, those would go just as fast for $200 or better. Seems weird to me as well.

 

They likely don't care about the other retail prices and you're assuming that avid golfers regularly shop at Kmart. Not a great bet.

 

I'm not assuming that at all lol. My point was it would sell in DSG at that price since the person I quoted mentioned that.

My kmart had just a few clubs, some left handed, a few women ones and a couple of putters. I found some small items like Odyssey coin/ball markers, Golf Pride grips and some natural tees (about 1000 of them).

the guy I talked with said the trailer came in on Wednesday they had to sort and tag everything put it out thurs-fri and said he had guys filling carts up then making calls for hours til they finally bought stuff said a guy spent 2 grand was planning on making 10 reselling

 

Considering many of the iron sets being scored for $70 still go for $500 plus brand new, that doesn't surprise me at all. This all seems so dumb to me haha. I'm just jealous ?

That kinds sucks that some folks just bought it all to resell. It would have been nice to get a wedge set and maybe an iron set for cheap to actually use!

 

I called the local store and the person told me they had gotten alot of single clubs so I asked her to check if they were still around and what brands and she came back and said she didn't see any clubs now. Four hours later I drove in anyway and found what was left in the center isle's with all kinds of accessories, grips, etc. so I managed to grab a few things I can always use, natural tees, grips and some Odyssey coins/markers (didn't have any).

Vegas Kmart on Sahara has a few balls, tees, gloves, etc left. No sign of any clubs though.

Just came from Columbia, SC Sears that is closing. They had about 5 boxes worth of clubs. 5 or so sets. I25, Nike Vapor, Taylormade Speedblade, and my favorite a lh comboset of cb/mb Titleist 714.

 

Lots of wedges and putters, at least half of them left handed.

 

I walked out with a Taylormade Daddy Long Legs+ putter for $14 and tax.

I think the Fitchburg, MA store is closing as well...no idea if they have golf stuff or not. I called and whoever I spoke to wasn't sure if they had any golf clubs, and I didn't feel like making the 1 hour drive only to be disappointed

I checked it, no full iron sets, some were close but 1 or 2 clubs were missing. A bunch of random single sticks. Quite a few ping wedges, some Cally fws, Adams hybrids and bunch of random crap.

Went to the west Allis, WI store last night after seeing this thread. Id guess 75% was gone at that time, but still some good deals. Got a 915d3 for a coworker, a 915fd 3 wood for myself and a odyssey tank 1 putter for an experiment. Each were $35. Had a few more that I was close to buying but had no direct need and am not a reseller.

Went to the one in Sacramento, CA today. They had a bunch of grips mostly off brand ones. Although they did have some Winn, Lamkin, Super Stroke, and Golf Pride mixed in if you wanted to dig through the massive amounts of other grips. Most were $1 and 40% off. I walked away with 32 grips. They had a few lefty clubs, Ping, Callaway and Taylormade. They also had other miscellaneous golf accessories. But, I was really surprised to see some J. Lindeberg pants and shorts, Maide by Bonobos pants, Sunice pullovers, Sun Mountain Pullovers and a Travis Mathew polo (which I bought). They also had Nike, Adidas, Puma, and UA golf clothing. They were quite mixed in and you had to search for them, but they are there to be found. Prices were either $20, $30, or $50 with 40% off.
