I've been wanting to do this for a while to keep track of the clubs that go in and out of my bag. Had some free time this am, so I snapped some photos of my bag and my stable.

Here's the link because the photos from my camera are too large to upload. I'll post some more details/organize things a bit better later.

Sorry for the delayed responses guys. Not playing much in this weather.

How do you like the steelfiber U65? Heard/read those go hi but did the steelfiber bring flight down some?

They are fantastic. Do not really bring the ball fight down though in my opinion. At least compared to the graphite shafts that were in there. I really just love the feel of the shaft and like the consistency of playing it through the irons.

Whats the playing lenght of the U65 23*?

I believe it plays 1.5 inches under standard so somewhere in that 37-38" range. I am only 5'7" so I tend to have all of my clubs chopped down a healthy amount.

Pretty sure this is the longest I have gone with out making any drastic changes. I did put a M2 HL 3 wood in the bag around March, it has saved me this year as I cannot for the life of me put the driver in play consistently. I have not been playing as much this year, the handicap has gone up a bit, and my SS has gone down. I think I may have to look into getting a new driver as I cannot get this thing to work like it was last year.

I know it's probably not the club, but it's the only one that is causing me to to suffer. I am hitting huge hooks with it or massive blocks. Do not do that with any other club in my bag, and I wasn't doing it last year. In fact I have already scoped out a few drivers while killing some time in Golf Galaxy. Even went home with a shocker.

Honestly, there really haven't been a ton of changes' considering I sued to swap in and out shafts and drivers like they were clothes. Pictures to follow.

Relegated to the chopping block since last year:

Srixon U45 20* Steelfiber i110s & Srixon Z U45 23* w/ Steelfiber i110 - have had some gap issues and I find the king utility to fill them better with the adjustability.

Everything Epic is out. 3 wood, driver, hybrids. I cant seem to hit them where I want. I am back to long irons and I never thought I would be. I must have had some swing changes.

Cobra L4V w/ Tour AD GP 7s - This shaft is just too heavy for me. It is great when I'm playing a lot or struggling with a left miss.

Minor update, So, I "accidentally" won an auction for a set of baby blades and 57 CBs. You know how it goes, had one to many drinks and threw out what I thought was a crazy low offer (while still being respectable) and it got accepted.

Got 4-PW in the baby blades and 3-6 57 CB heads. Came with KBS Tour 130X shafts which are far too much. I have already replaced them with a set of Steelfibers I pulled out of another set, but I don't think that combo is going to work. I have a few more rounds before I will try a set of modus tours I have lying around. If that doesn't work, then I will go to a fitter and get a shaft suggestion. Probably should get loft and lies checked too.

Also figured if I was going to make a vanity bag, I should just go all in. I bought a 52 K grind, a 57 C grind, and a KM 008 putter. Saving up for either a Mackenzie or a Seamus bag.

Slight update with another on/off pic for you. Going with the baby blades from 6-PW now. Was able to get the King Cobra Utilities shafted with my Steelfibers on 3-5. Went straight in with the Steelfibers instead of hardstepped like my past gamers. Couple other small adjustments like a new Scotty long neck. I also have a few driving iron shafts to test more later. an Oban Revenge, tour AD, and a speeder 865. I will also be trying a Callaway Big Bertha 3 hybrid.

The thought process behind the bag is that I really want to maximize control and accuracy in the scoring clubs while maximizing forgiveness where I need it most which is the longer irons. I tried CBs in the 5-6 irons but they just flat out did not work. Right now, I am not sure exactly where that line is drawn. I am hoping I can hit the 6 iron in the blade, if not, then I will have to figure something out for that club. But the blades, when struck well are deadly accurate.

The utilities make me wonder why we don't just have adjustable irons. They're truly awesome for gapping.  I am able to make great adjustments to mix and match them with other sets as well as other shafts. Sometimes bagging the Steelfibers, and other times swapping in driving iron shafts. I can put them in both the 3 or 4 irons depending on how much loft I want. I am still interested if I can get better results with a hybrid or the 3 iron, but I am not 100% concerned about the open spot in my bag. As I often walk, I am really happy to have one or 2 less clubs.

I am also loving the answer style putter. It has been great for distance control and speed. No 3 putts in over 48 holes. I have been a CS/Mallet guy, but I think I am more of a face balance guy. The Long neck gives me that.

Finally, I think I am figuring out the Driver. The Tour AD IZ was a bit hooky on me, but I think I had my ball position too centered and it was not helping me release through the club. I would be interested in trying a 5X, but don't feel like dropping 350 on an experiment. I'd rather save that for a set of Cally Prototype blades I have my eyes on.
