Why do all the Srixon staffers use M2 driver or other?

Why do all the Srixon tour players use something besides the Z765 or Z565? Hideki uses a callaway and a ton of the other guys use M1 or M2. Are the TM offerings that good? There was a ton of hype about this year's Srixon drivers especially the z765 driver at 440cc. I'm not talking irons bc Srixon irons speak for themselves. Is it all about the tee up pennies???

I didn't test the srixon so I can't speak on it's behalf. But I was able to get extremely low spin numbers with the M1 and M2. My dispersion was not nearly as good with the TM drivers, so I opted for the G400 LST with hazrdus.

I have a Z355 and played it for over a year without thinking about switching it out. Srixon is a quality product and the only reason I have now pulled it is because I like the Callaway products. In the Gear Trials the XR16 was one of my top performers and, in the loft I purchased, is just an amazing performer for me.

 

But the Z line should be on the radar of anyone shopping for a new driver. At least give them a try.

That would be my guess. The lack of a full bag contract combined with a tee-up bonus from TM... Heck, I'd game a TM driver in that scenario as well.

Tee up money is $1500 per tournament. No player in the top 200 in the world would give up the chance to win a 1.5 million dollar tournament for $1500. Tee up money is used for Monday qualifiers and sponsors exceptions to entice a guy with no legitimate chance to make the CUT to play the driver, so that it's just another number in the count for advertising purposes. No player you have ever heard of cares at ALL about $1500 tee up money.

 

The reason the name staffers all use Taylormade or Callaway drivers is one reason. They are the best two driver companies on the planet and it's not really close.

those srixon team players aren't concerned with tee up money...the drivers are good is why they play them... and i don't like TM drivers..at least not since the superfast V2

The last time I went for a driver fitting, the fitter was pushing the Srixon driver. He said if you play the irons you will love the driver. Demoed it and it was ok, not as good as the new Epic or my old M2..I wouldn't be surprised if there was a spiff for those drivers. As for tee up money the top players play only what works for them. They could play anything and be fine, but the TM drivers just work...PERIOD...LOL

I switched to the 565 driver. Long and spend more time in the fairway. I switched from the 2017 M1 to the Srixon 565.. Could not be happier.

As above....these players are simply looking for the superior product. The tee up $$$ amount is really meaningless to them. If the company they have the bag contract with put out something comparable it would certainly be in the bag.

There are guys in the top 100 wearing logos on their shirt for less than 100k per year. 1500 per tournament if thats what it is, for a driver you like anyway. I imagine some guys would be influenced by that . Not big money guys but an extra 45-50k of basically free money if you're like 145th in the world. I mean why not?

 

If you're making 1m per year total on course and endorsement, that's still like a 5% raise

I'm guessing some of these guys have an endorsement deal with Taylormade for woods only. JB Holmes has Taylormade listed ahead of Srixon as a sponsor on his webpage.

I switched from and Epic SZ to my current gamer, the Z565. I have hit more consistent drives with the 565 than I did with the SZ. My mishits aren't off the grid with the 565. True, the SZ is longer for me, but I'm okay with being 5-10 yards behind the SZ since I'm in the fairway more.
