I can't stand the look of Mizzy PW's. Shockingly the best lines I've found recently are the 718 AP2's. That's why they are in my bag!

Have you had a chance to look at the MP 18’s yet? The short irons look vastly different than past Mizuno sets. It’s honestly one of the best looking PW’s I’ve ever seen! I used to shy away from Mizuno for that very reason.

i put a PW/6i/3i of 718MB and MP18 side by side. the PW's were pretty similar from what i remember, and i was trying to find a problem with the MP18 PW because of the complaints i'd heard from others here. the 3i was the one with the noticeable difference, in a higher toe/more material on the MP18.

Callaway Apex MB beats all 3 of them all day, not even close

Care to elaborate??

This is just one mans opinion... The heel to toe length is perfect for my eye, add in the perfect topline and it frames the ball beautifully. Just setting it behind the ball gives me tons of confidence. I have some Dg x100 tour issue in them, which I've used in the past but with these clubs the balance and swing weight could not be more spot on.

At impact is where it really shines for me. I fell in love with the soft but true feel. It feels like you truly hit it with character, firm but soft, idk it's tough to put into words. My last sets where 712 and 716, and to me the Apex feels softer and sweeter at impact. Add in a great sound that you get from a blade and it's a ton of fun to play. And if you are a little off it doesn't miss like blades of the past. They done something with the COG to improve slight mishits because you don't really lose anything but a couple yards. Also The turf interaction couldn't be better for my swing, I love the shape of the sole. It really feels effortless with my action.

In comparisons to the others, I can't really tell you much, I've looked at the 718 side by side of the Apex and the heel toe length and the topline were some of the worst I've seen from them. I didn't hit them but I know what a Titleist blade feels like. I hit the MP-18 and it sure did feel nice, I wouldn't expect anything different from mizuno, but again the frame of the ball at address On the Apex suits my eye so much better. I don't know much about the 730 I'm sure its nice as well.

The Apex MB might be my the club that use for a very very long time. I'll definitely have a few sets of these before they stop making them. This is the first time I've ever thought about doing that

I broke down and am scraping my AP2's for a set of Apex MB 18 that I ordered yesterday. I could not believe how easy they were to hit.

I wonder how the forging on the Mizuno MP-18s hold up. I love that soft buttery feel of Mizuno irons but that feel doesn't come without paying the price. My MP14s lasted me about a season and half. My 7 iron looked like someone got hungry and took a bite out of its sole and they dinged easily. I'm not one to baby my clubs with neoprene head covers on my irons. I don't abuse them either. I slide them in the bag the same as every club. I don't care if it was a 14K 6 iron with princess cut diamonds embedded into the cavity. I'd still wouldn't put a cover on it.

Has anyone played the MP-18s a lot? How are they holding up so far?

Who has been playing the P730's and loves them?

I had the MP18s (preordered them and got them a week ahead of release) and also extensively demoed the 718s and the Apex MBs. However the P730s were best for me and I have been playing them since they were available.

They have a smaller profile than the MP18s and the 718s and about the same as the Callaway MBs. They have less offset throughout than the MP18s, 718s or Callaway MBs.

Feel wise, they are different to the others and most similar to the Callys. I find the MP18s mushy. 718s are a little clicky. 730s and Callys are soft but firm - the only way I can describe them is dense. Very Endo or Kyoei like.

I put Shimada Tour shafts in them which suit me best.

The finish on the 730s is holding up fine with just normal bag chatter you get on any soft forging.

LOVE these irons....

I have 5-PW sets of the MP 18 MB, MP 18 SC and P730’s. I love them all for different reasons. Of the 3 sets, mishits with the true blades are punished the most by 3-5 yards. The SC’s are a great blend of feel and performance. I would happily bag any of them however I seem to be gravitating to yhe SC’s for daily duty.

Ive hit them all and liked all of them except the MP18, there's just something not quite right for me with them and i love mizuno's (I play mp33's on occasion and every time i practice).

730 would be last for me then 718 and then the Apex MB and they'd have to be in RAW.

To be honest they are all excellent blades and it comes down to tiny differences and what suits your eye and what feels best because i could game any of them and they all perform almost exactly the same.

Raw blades tho are the way forward imho :)

To add if i couldnt get the Apex in raw i'd buy the Cobra Pro MB's hehe!

i have hit them all and it really comes down to the very subtle difference in appearance. I liked to look of the Mizuno the best. if you look at the specs. the callaway has the best specs (gapping) in my opinion.

I've been playing the MP18s since I got them in the end of march. I love them. Easy to flight, easy to shape, look great, feel amazing. They have marked up a little due to bag chatter and sessions but thats not something I'm concerned about. I want them to be used. I honestly think I have gained about 5 yards with these clubs (had TM MCs). It may be because I got fit for a slightly longer and heavier shaft than my priors = more club head speed? But any ways, the MP18s are awesome but I never got the opportunity to do an extensive review of the others. The MP18s I was most consistent with and loved the feel so I pulled the trigger.

Funny for me because I just ordered a 3-PW set.

I just couldn’t ignore how good looking they were and paired with the right shaft, just felt so superb.

Performance wise, they were very precise and consistent.

I’m not concerned about distance because I have all my yardages covered but it’s the launch and spin rate that I look out for; to me, the MP18 gave me optimal #s.

I tried the Mizuno MP18 MB's on multiple occasions and they never perform for me. Not sure what it is about their design, but they are always consistently much shorter and seemingly way less forgiving than any of the other blade offerings out right now (for me).
