They still make great consistent fairways and hybrids. But the major OEMs do too now, and they have great distribution/marketing at a similar same price.

Callaway XR16 14* / Fubuki AX f75-S

I still game a TEE fairway and love it. While I agree some of the bigger OEMs have caught up, I still prefer it to what is out there now

Adams Red Hybrid 18*/20* Matrix Altus Tour

Yes - cb4 tour 4 wood is undefeated for me no matter how hard others try. The e8 beta 12* ain't bad either for a driver replacement (please spare the lecture - I'm a loser for not working on my driver swing and I'm not hitting 3,wood "better", just as crooked but shorter yada, yada, yada)

The oldest, safest club in my bag is a TEE 2 hybrid with a RIP Alpha shaft I got off the used rack a few years ago for $40 (after my discount). This thing is my go-to club when I have to hit the fairway with at least 220 yards of carry.

CB Pro & CB Pro F2 FW woods for me. I have the full collection of CB Pro's that get rotated depending on course/conditions. I just grabbed a CB Pro F2 16.5 to try out with an Atmos. I have a feeling that it will be even better than my beloved CB Pro/Speeder 757 combos.

I've got a CB3 Tour 5W that beats out all other 3W contenders again and again. I re-organsied the whole of the top of my bag to get the gappings right since the TEE was such a siege cannon.

I recently tried the E8 fairway as well and it was very good, though the head weight was an issue for me and I couldn't get the UK rep to supply a weight kit.

Pound for pound in the FWs they are the real deal.

  • Ping G400 9* Fujikura Speeder 661 X (+16g head weight)
  • Tour Edge Exotics CB3 Tour 18*, True Temper Bi Matrix RXi X
  • Adams Idea A7 22* UST V2 Hybrid X +0.5'
  • Mizuno MP20 MMC 4-7 Nippon Modus 3 130X +0.5' 2 deg up
  • Mizuno MP20 MB 8-PW Nippon Modus 3 130X +0.5' 2 deg up
  • Mizuno S18 50* Nippon NS PRO 1150GH Tour X +0.5'
  • Nike Engage Raw 54* S400 +0.5'
  • Cleveland RTX 588 Rotex 2.0 60* S400 +0.5'
  • Odyssey Dual Force 990

I still use my TEE hybrid and love that stick!

I'd still be using my TEE CB4 3Wood, but my son is using it now to launch massive drives (for him) down the fairways. Off the tee it's awesome - hard to be consistent off the deck.

My M1 set at 18* is easier to hit off the deck and only slightly shorter off the tee.

They still make a good fairway wood and get some tour play here and there but that's about it.

I really liked my TEE 3 wood but I just had problems launching it from the deck. If I only needed it off the tee I would have kept it. It was a rocket for sure when hit well but I only found myself bagging it when I played in scrambles and I could improve my lie from the fwy.

The CB5s will be in my bag until they break ... which sometimes I hit them so damn hard it feels like that may eventually happen. :) So solid.
