Titleist 2018 stand bags?

I fixed that same issue with mine. Just slide the black rectangular piece of plastic up on the two metal bars that kick out the legs. It will tighten the hold and keep the legs hugging the bag so the don't hang when waking with the bag on.

I owe you a beer my friend! I tryed to move it once before and it would not slide so i didn't mess with it. I just took it off and put it back on and it now slides, and the legs are perfect. Thank you!

How did you remove it? Was it pryed off?

Squeeze the metal bars together above the plastic piece, the plastic piece pops off, then squeeze and clip it back on.

Interesting - The 4Up bag has one that’s secured with rivots and doesn’t look to be removable without breaking it off. I just used duct tape to create the same tension effect as described.

It sounds like sliding the black plastic piece up on the wires from the legs is only a temporary solution... The guy in this post did the same, but the issue seems to reappear as the bag ages... Jeez Titleist... Could you please address this issue and not just release the same bags for 2018? :russian_roulette:

For reasons that escape me, Titleist have fallen in love with that tilting floor mechanism like the rest of the industry except for Sun Mountain. As long as they use that design it is going to be an uphill battle to make legs that stay tight to the bag.

My old Titleist bag has the little "foot" thing that kicks the legs out when you put it down. that thing is great, not sure why they ever switched.

That was when SM made bags for Titleist. I had the original first version of the Ultralight, best carry bag ever made IMO. After hundreds of rounds it got badly damaged on an overseas trip so now I have the last Lightweight version before they started the tilting fooor junk.

Well... tried my best to like the new Titleist Players 5 stand bags, but they didn't function as expected. The legs still continued to hang down and hit the back of my legs when walking. Tried 3 different Players 5 bags from my local PGA SS and all did the same. Returned the last one and exchanged for an all black Sun Mountain 4.5 LS.

IMO the Sun Mountain 4.5 LS surprisingly exceeds my expectations. More pockets and storage, more comfortable when carrying, and most importantly the legs retract and stay up like they should when carrying. This is my very first Sun Mountain bag. I don't know why I didn't switch or give them a try sooner.

Someone posted the 2018 catalogue in another thread: http://www.progolfpremiums.com/images/uploads/ecatalogue/15155184392018_catalog_FINAL_wUPDATES.compressed-4.pdf

It seems odd that they have a Players 4 StaDry and a Players 4UP StaDry - they are both lightweight / waterproof bags with a 4-way top. Aside from the styling and the fact that one bag has 4 pockets and the other has 5, any one know the differences between these bags?

The previous 4 Up was considered an ultra light weight bag. I guess I'm now interested in the 2018 model because the previous one had a 3 way divider

I switched from Titleist bags 2 years ago. I got fed up with the fact that they could not produce a lightweight bag with a 4 way divider top plus their styling went downhill. Switched to the Sun Mountain 3.5 and was very happy. Added a 3.5LS last season and although it’s a little bit smaller than the original 3.5 it’s just the perfect walking bag - lightweight with just enough room for waterproofs,
