I was just about to start a thread with her. My point was to ask each guy (or lady) here which LPGA golfer gets you to stop, stare a the tv, and go "Hmmmm....pretty". For me it's So Yeon Ryu. I find her to be really, really pretty. Sure...there are many pretty young ladies. But So Yeon always gets me to stop, stare and go, "hmmmm".

With the COVID-19 Coronavirus putting a temporary halt on the LPGA 2020 season, I thought this would be a good time to showcase some of the great players on the tour.

I have chosen one of my favorite players. She is one of the most consistent players on the LPGA Tour and is one of the most approachable. She is always happy to sign anything put in front of her, or take a picture with you. There is no “diva” in this lady and she is always wearing a smile. My choice is So Yeon Ryu (pronounced as ‘So-Yun-You’).

It will be tough for her to break into that top four. But possible.

It's not likely but I don't think she is that far off from the 4th spot, at least from a potential/underlying skill perspective. Any of the current four could also go cold, as we've seen many times before. I'm just not sure if she is willing to put in the time/work to be at that level for an extended period of time anymore (age/other life interests now taking priority). Her and Inbee seemed focused / trying to make a run for a 6-month period to start the season though so we'll see.

About ten years ago Hee Kyung Seo and So Yeon Ryu were playing together and the woman in the booth, maybe Dottie Pepper,  said, as they walked down the fairway, "Looks like the battle of the short-shorts."  And it was, awsomely!.  

Since those days Ryu has been dropping her hems an inch a year.
