Epic Sub Zero Face Micro Cracks?

Lads and Gents, please take a peak at the attached picture. I noticed last night at the range while cleaning off the driver face these tiny almost micro cracks on the face of my Epic Sub Zero. Sound, feel, dexterity and performance haven't seemed to change BUT, I am also not the most seasoned guy on the course when it comes to this stuff.

My thought process is, it's a $500 club. What's going on?

Take a look at the left shape (chevron sideways?) and see what almost looks like micro lines / spider web looking pattern.

Thanks guys.

Might wanna delete that last line. But it looks ok. My m2 looks the same. If you see a drop in performance, let someone look at it.

Thanks for the input. Nothing was incorrect about those last lines but, outta respect, repealed.

If it looks fine, then what is exactly is the cause of this? Just for information purposes.

If in doubt call Callaway.

They will take care of you.

Just tell them your face has cracked. They might ask for serial number.

Bottom line - why keep it in play if there is something that looks wrong? Especially with the history of Epic SZ driver faces failing.

I've seen that when the range balls were wet and had a little sand on them. The sand gives it a little scratch when it gets pushed by the water off the face at impact. Shouldn't be an issue, but Callaway is great with their customer service so it might be worth a call.

A very likely result. I could see this as being the culprit. I've never worried about Callaways customer service. THey have help me a couple times already with small stuff but, I want to ensure that this is not my fault and ultimately find the cause so I can't be blamed and get screwed over once.

THanks for the input. I haven't seen anything like this on my taylor made drivers, ping drivers, or cobra woods.

Looks like face finishing issue, but never know if it's structural failure for sure. Can't be certain for today's thinner and variable thickness face construction.

Just like I have no faith in the modern construction when the bottom line is the only goal by stretching the limits of the material and construction method to the Max to improve the bottom line. Ever noticed nothing today will last as long like they were made decades ago ? That goes with everything in life.

I would notify the OEM w/ photo and see what they say, if anything you'd have it on file that this happened now and not months down the road when the face actually cracked..
