Those are total fakes. Those G5 irons are awful looking. I emailed those poor saps and told them they were buying fake equipment.

I raised an issue like this with ebay once before.

 

They claim they cannot remove these sorts of things unless the brand owner demands it as an infringement on their brand name.

 

Sucks really but all that leaves is for everyone to contact bidders to warn them.

 

This issue also got me banned from a golf forum in Australia, because I was naming the seller id's and they would delete the threads faster than I could post them. Thank god for places like this

You're right about ebay they don't care and hide behind the brand owner stuff. The only OEM that cares about this is Callaway who will have auctions removed.

Coastalgolfimports was the guy, fake pings, fake futuras, also branched out into R7 TP's with Nv shafts etc. Listed about 30 inside a week, ended up with 18 or 19 negs as the drivers never showed.

 

He was also the same bloke who listed a heap of OEM gear to sell for next to nothing, under the name worldwidegolfwarehouse. Never got any negs as he was shut down pretty quick. But not before he sold heaps of stuff...

 

I know of one forum member who purchased 3 FT-3's off the 2nd seller for about $1,500 Aussie. All the ebay warnings had been deleted by that time, in fact every time I posted one, he deleted it.

 

I believe the conman had made a threat to sue the forum owner, pretty ballsy but a bluff that should have been called.
