Had a chance to hit the DBMs. Met up with someone who has them.

Absolutely beautiful. Super thin topline. The cavity is not at all visible from the top. They are a little long heel to toe. Touch longer then my ap2s. Less offset. The toe and heel height is a bit taller.

Feel and sound is fantastic. Soft muted thud.

Turf interaction was great.

Very forgiving. They went high but i dunno if thats because of his shafts or what. They had accra i70s lol. Bit light and soft for me.

Anybody order just the heads and then have shafts pulled from one set and then installed in dbm. If so how did it go?

The DBM/TE have a shorter Bottom of Bore to Ground Measurement than most other designs, so pulling shafts and installing them in these would result in shorter lengths

interesting. By about how much?

Based on my experience (using mizuno pulls into a TE shaft head), I had to use extensions.

Which also means in doing that, resulted in hard-stepping. Making them play slightly stiffer, compared to what you were used to.

If you don't want that, might consider using one "discreet length" longer for each iron.....or "soft stepping"

I get a bunch of Amazon money for sales spiffs at work and I’ve pondered new irons because I don’t really know what else to get. I’m more than thrilled with my DBM’s and doubt I could find anything I like better but I’m still curious.

If the COG (sweetspot) fits you well, which I'm assuming it does,... you won't find anything better. I wouldn't waste your time and resources

I have read people on this board reference how cheap these irons are and It peaked my interest . I looked on their website and started doing some math and I don't see the huge discount. Between the heads, shafts and grips and cost to have them built they are well over a $100 a club. Maybe a bit cheaper than most OEMs but not by a ton. Am I missing something?

I agree unless you can find a good match in thier club pak section which offers many high end steel shafts. If so, then one would save approx. $400/$500.

They're usually speaking of having the chance to buy an all time classic design forged cavity back, in component form for about $30 bucks a head. None of the other big companies offer this option.

There's plenty of ways to get a bit "resourceful" and have these built for well less than $100 per club

The club pak is there the deals are for these irons.

In Canada, only DG R-300 or S-300 shafts are included the Pak pricing. C-Tapers or some other choice will raise the price quite a bit but you will need to assemble yourself or get done by a club maker.

Club Champion Custom Callaway AI Smoke 11*, Aldila Ascent 40 Gram, A Flex

Srixon F45 4-wood, 17*, Kuro Kage 606 S
TXG Custom  SIM Max 7-wood, Accra FX 140 2.0 M2

TXG Custom Cobra Tech 5-hybrid, KBS TGI 75 R
TXG Custom PXG 0211 6-pw, 1* upright, Recoil E460 R
PXG 0211 GW, 50*, (new version), UST Recoil Dart R
TXG Custom Cleveland CBX 54*, Tour Issue DG Spinner 115

Ping Glide 4.0 58*, Nippon 115

Completely wrong. Tons of shafts on paks.

All dg flexes.

Kbs tour

Kbs tour custom black or white

I even believe kbs 105s and kbs fltd there too.

And Golfworks will build to your specs very cheap.

If you are spending much more than $50 a club to get these built something went wrong for you.

I see TT "Score" shafts as the only option on golfworks.ca. Where are you guys looking?

Well that's awfully low, since the DBM heads alone cost $32

With DG or kbs they are around $400 shipped and assembled from golfworks.
