Personally I rank them Trophy then Purgatory then Fort. But I also rank Bear Slide over all of them.

Also Pebble Brook has 36 right there. Not the greatest layout in the world, but solid conditions and a great value.

Well, I've got photographic evidence that Doc's out sloshing around on his birthday playing golf!! What a trooper!!

Question of the day:

Simply what are your top 5 favorite courses in Indiana?

1. Chariot run

2. Royal hylands

3. Trophy club

4. Hickory stick

5. Cardinal hills

Agree with all of the above. Though if some of these long-term forecasts hold, you're gonna be on the pond before Thanksgiving.

Shout out to jgc9512ss and all of his help with my club work this week. We played tricounty last week and those greens are just so pure. Loved it!

How did everyone’s season go?

What was your favorite course you played this year?

Did you make any equipment changes over the year?

I have a questions about public golf courses membership in Indianapolis. Did not want to start a new threat and tagging along here. I have been RN Thompson platinum member last and this year, they have scraped Smock for next year so down to three courses now. Is there any other similar memberships in Indianapolis area where you play a certain amount and get to play some area courses at discount?

Thanks.

I'm not aware of one that involves multiple courses like the Thompson deal. Others may know better.

I guess if you can get out when hot deals are generally available via Golfnow, the $200/year would be worth it, and can get you on a bunch of courses below rack rate (if booking just hot deals). I get my money back on it pretty quickly, though I play more than most, and will go out alone.

Played better golf this year. Transitioned from a picker to more of a descending blow. Low punch and check shot was added as well.

No new equipment except I played the ProV1 more this year and really liked it.

Driver got really sloppy but I think I've figured it out... until next year.

Got to play both Purdue courses, The Brickyard and Crooked Stick this year for the first time. Look forward to playing Kampen and The Brickyard again.

Did not make it to Rock Hollow this year but will make the effort next year.

Played a few rounds with Doc and Marmooska this year which is always fun.

Met and played with Rook16 for the first time this year. He fit perfectly into our group.

Was a very good year.

Membership at Sarah Shank or Pleasant Run is good for both courses.

Jon,

I am grateful that you were able to have a good season. I am looking forward to getting out and playing more next year with you.

2020 should lead to more play on my part.

This week, the PGA Tour is at TPC San Antonio on the Oaks Course for the Valero Texas Open. GolfWRX was on-site Tuesday to catch a glimpse into the bags of some of the world’s top golfers.

The field of 144 is getting ready to battle starting Thursday for the $7.7 million purse, with $1.386 million going to the winner. The tournament is also the last event where players can qualify for The Masters, just like Canadian Corey Conners did last year.
