I have a heck of a time finding golf shoes that fit my feet. How would one go about finding the right fit on a pair of myjoys?

 

Asking for a friend ; )

 

Well the full leather shield tips stretch a little .. so I get 12w ..

 

my Nike running shoes are all 12.5 .. hard to find

 

Most of my dress shoes are 13, can never find 12.5's

 

If it helps I would say 1/2 size down .. in icon shields anyway. That's the only style I get. Golferdr or Christosterone have way larger collections and may have better advice

Hey PD, I find the FJ DryJoys Tour and the FJ ProSL shoe fit very similar to the MyJoys Icon Shield Tips. They're all made on the same last. If you can try some of those on for size, you'll get a very good example of what you'll need. Also, FYI, the Icon Traditional Saddle is slightly larger in the forefoot if you need a little more volume there. You can even get different sizes for the left and right feet if you need.

 

While you're in the 'rabbit hole' try the red pill and the blue pill. Variety is the spice of life! :-)

19hrs of driving over 2 days behind me, in NW Florida for a few weeks

 

Some stuff to play with

Ok I can now state that the t-mb irons in this shaft set up is a great combo for me, cut swings = fades finally. I was a whisker worried about knockdowns - but no more

 

Other findings ... stronger shafts in my two hybrids was a great move. Much tighter

 

Unicorn of the day : GBB 3w with blueboard 63x ... so good in so many ways ... old shafts can still be amazing kids

 

Off to the bay to find some 73x !!!

Off to Windswept Dunes in 50 mins

 

Played Hombre yesterday... Won't bore you with all the skankers (long clubs better than shorties after

a hiatus from the game as usual) but I did have one majestic hole

 

Par 5 4th ... 495 out of a chute, dog right .. over a massive pond .. wind into from ten or eleven o'clock .. murdered driver (love 660tr in m2)

6i from 195 .. with a hard 9 o'clock zephyr - that literally never left the stick ... 5 feet behind hole and EAGLE

 

T-mb's are VERY very straight ... so far so good

 

7800 yards at sea level ... I'm eating crow or cake shortly

Three bad holes ruined a nice day at Windswept on Christmas Eve ... shot 85. With 7 weeks of rust getting up and down from Bermuda grass and putts on Bermuda greens was too much to ask

 

7800 yards with no roll is waaay too long for this old guy .... the front 9 was 3,991 yards

 

I've never hit so many 3 and 5 woods and 4 hybrids in my life

 

Highlite was parring all four par 3's .... 191, 198, 229 and 244

 

With this t-mb six iron I certainly don't need to continue keeping one eye open for a 6h

Some minor mods while back down here in Florida

 

- playing around with assorted flat lie Ping BeCu wedges

- just soft stepped my 105x Nippon shafts ... waaaaay better for my action.

- playing around with the Fuji tour spec 5.3 driver shaft, holy moly, as others have said this thing feels great and delivers. Stiff flex tipped 1/2" .. I can't recall the Wrx cat that tipped me off on this deal .. but a BIG thanks again. Way better feel than the 6.2 gamer

- replacement 60* sm2 TVD m grind incoming from the bay .. woooo wooo ... patience is a virtue

 

I also have to say the greens at Panama Country Club are near mint right now

Oh, for sh!ts and giggles I also picked up an Aldila vs proto 100x five iron shaft to test in the six iron ... could be gold ... who knows

Took the "Red Tee Challenge" at Windswept one time, shot 76 and felt like I needed a nap afterward. It is a metric ton of golf course from back there even in calm and relatively dry conditions.

OK so some changes since returning:

 

The T-MB six iron is the only T-MB in the bag for now. Have changed the shaft yet again for a tour concept X100 in green.

 

7-PW are back to Ping s55's. Titleist is having me back to try other shafts ... when I can hit off grass.

 

The tour Fuji VC 5.3s was a little soft for my liking. I may tip it more.

 

Have changed my fairways and hybrids around AGAIN. The 17 M1 3HL is back in the bag and have tossed my old unicorn shaft (speeder 952x Tour Spec) into the 5 deep

 

Also have tossed in a matching shaft to my 5h in my x2 hot 4h .. this one is in a strong flex vs the X flex

 

Cold weather boredom is all I can say.

 

Will send some pics later tonight when into the red wine and watching those talented rich wizards from Mexico

For some reason the m-grind suits me in all conditions, I wish there was a high bounce M grind in 62 and not 60

 

The key for me is flattening them 2*, then they are money

Did the driver fitting this morning

 

Got my carry closer to last Fall ... up to 262. Run out to 289. Only 12 yards shy now

 

Heads: 2016 m2, 2017m1, m4, ping 400 lst, max and std and even the old rapture v2

 

Shafts: ad Di 6x, Blueboard 63x, Fuji 660tr x, Aldila NL 60x, Fuji motore 6.2x

 

Winner for distance and accuracy .. m4 w blue board. Sooooo straight and fades and draws a snap

 

Also, 14* launch, 2100 spin ... nice. 10.5 head in std loft setting

 

I wanted the lst but the m4 is stupid straight and I couldn't double cross fade swings

Love the thread.......I have the same Scotty mine is 33" with 20 weights I think....to lazy to go downstairs and confirm. We talked a few years back when you played Promontory. I always thought you had to be much younger and a super fit dude to have reached 18 on the Dye in 2 from the tips. Every time I play it I think about the 2 shots it would take from that tee to get home. And WTF you are an old man. I am 3 weeks away from 52 myself and even more impressed you could reach it. The only good thing about golf season coming to an end is Hockey season starting. And snowboarding.

i tell you what the stock KK 50 TiNi shaft - in S - that came in the 3w GBB as stock is giving the og BB 63x a run for the money

Those Callaway copper wedges were great. I had the 52 and 56. I kept looking for a second hand 60*, but never found one.

Wedges with copper treatment or layering or whatever they do ... just feel awesome. A soft heavy hit if that makes sense, dense feel thru impact

 

IIRC, the older mizuno blades - mp33 and prior, thinking 14's and 29's etc. - had a layer of copper under the chrome which was a big part of their famous "buttery"feel

for tour pro's back in the day. Mizuno irons used to be like Tmade drivers

Right now I have 6 driver shafts coming the NW Florida in mid Dec

 

2 in case I find a PING LST on a blowout deal and 4 for my two TM heads (m2 and m4). Bringing an extra shaft for the g400 3w and also debating putting a Ping tip on the BB 63x shaft

 

RIP Beta 60x - in white - came in yesterday. Tossing on a camo green iomic and TM tip .. pics later

 

Stu - I may be back in MB in March. Bro sold his place in Surfside but is rebuilding farther south
