I see 1.0 but not round 2. You can always edit (easier thru the website) to add the tour event if you didn't do it beforehand.

For some reason the Grint pings my phone whenever somebody in this group posts a score. It is especially fun when that person enters a whole card at once. Or like last night when the gentleman from the UK posted scores sometime around 0230. I'm going to have to figure how to turn that off.

On the Android app, go under My Profile and then click on preferences. You can turn off live scoring, alerts, etc.

Well gentlemen, we are on our last event month! I want to thank all of you participating. Unfortunately I was not able to secure super awesome prizes like I wanted to, but I do have some SWAG from The Grint that they sent me that I will send to people drawn randomly from the members who played at least the minimum amount of rounds (8 of the 16).

 

I had a lot of fun this year. I played some of my best golf ever, but also had a few bad rounds haha. Unfortunately, I don't think I posted one or two of my best rounds as event rounds as I had already used them haha (shot below 80 3 or 4 times this year).

 

I hope yall had a good time and felt this was pretty cool. Next year, I am going to try and make an actual in person event..... I will see what I can do and get some details out shortly. Since this would be the first one, I will more than likely do it closer to here in South Carolina just to make it easier on myself. If it goes well, then maybe we can start to try other destinations. This is something I have thought of doing since we began this club, and I really hope it comes to fruition.

I didn’t get to play as much as I wanted to cause of work and the weather and the baby but I still enjoy doing this and seeing how I compare to the rest of you guys. Hopefully next season I can get all the rounds in.

 

An in person event would be really cool. If it’s a reasonable drive for me I’d definitely come to it.

Yes. I will start a new thread in January asking for members. I have to go through a little cleaning in the club and tour just so we don’t have what I’m consideribg dead weight. Basically people who did not or were unable to participate at all. If they want to re join that’s fine but I want to make sure people are participating.

Papa, once again a great job! I really like the idea and enjoy seeing everyone on there as well. In on the in-person play and meeting if we can get suitable location that isn't too far. I did go to The Old Course this year though, so, I guess I'm up for anywhere!

Hey guys.

 

Really fun season this year. A couple more days to get your rounds in and I’ll get the scores out together and draw some winners.

 

This season was really fun for me because of this league. There were frustrating times for sure but I really had some major improvement in my game.

 

 

Just a few thoughts for next year.

 

I am going to start looking at places for an event. Again, this being the first one, I am trying to do it cost efficient and “easy” on myself. This means it will be closeish to me. I have narrowed it down South Carolina or north Carolina.

 

South Carolina would be in the low country close to an airport (savanah/Charleston/Myrtle). In North Carolina I would be thinking somewhere in the sand hills. Not pinehurst obviously but maybe a package with Tobacco Road or the RDU area.

 

With how much we’ve grown the past year I need to go over our membership details and where people live.

 

 

Just rough thoughts but I’m starting to really look into it.

OK gentleman,

 

I have done a quick demographic update for our tour.

 

The majority of our club lives in the South east (mainly Georgia/SC)

 

I think for the first year, to test out this thing, we will be having somewhere in that region to hopefully have a good turnout. Now I know we have some good numbers centrally and out west, but I would hate to set something up and have it only be a few guys. If this thing does pan out and we have good numbers, we can continue to grow and pop up more events in different places throughout the year.

Looking at next year.....

Im going to be taking a short/straw poll. Please do not reply with other choices.

 

Tobacco Road package (roughly 3 rounds between 300-500 depending on time of year)

 

Myrtle Beach package (all sorts of packages/prices available)

 

Florida package (Hammock beach/Orlando/Streamsong?)

 

If we can make this thing worth while then in the future we can obviously get interest generated to get to other locations throughout the country. Timeline would be between June-July (yes hot but cheaperish) or October-December (cooler but could have not as good conditions for some locations)

 

either message me here or Golf WRX. I need some type of number to go off of in order to make this work.
