About time for PXG to bring out the new 0811 Drivers!

XX, ZZ

No gimmicks (twisty face, prison break, thunder head, etc.) from PXG just solid performance!

http://www.golfwrx.c...onforming-list/

I think we will see a new line from then soon. Lots of their players are playing XX and XXF prototype drivers currently.

PXG makes excellent woods. I had the PXG 0811X driver and it beat out the TM M1 460 and M1 440 with better spin and carry for me.

Will definitely be looking at the new 0811 woods.

Maybe it will be Gen 2 lines in the metals too?

To me TPU and 'the screws' are about equally as gimmicky as other manufacturer claims. Meaning that they all add a tiny bit of performance to mostly maxed-out club parameters.

Exactly.

Gimmick: a trick or device intended to attract attention, publicity, or business.

You think 'the screws' aren't there to attract business?

No more than a weight in the sole is a gimmick....it is standard for most drivers just like a hosel adapter, thin face, etc are standard.

That's my point. They are all equally gimmicky; all manufacturers use devices on their clubs to attract attention. PXG is no exception.

Nope!

Once standard practice it is no longer a gimmick.

Disagree. The screws, at least, may be functional but there is a gimmicky reason (aside from moving weight) that they include them on all of their clubs. They are a distinctive device used to garner attention and sell clubs in addition to being functional.

Anywhooo, hope the new stuff from them is interesting. The Gen2 iron release fell flat IMO.

Functionality is totally the same and therefore not a gimmick.

You have every right to be wrong!

so turbulators aren't a gimmick anymore? or the speed humps on your Rogue SZ?

yes, PXG's gimmick is the screws...you could easily (and a cheaper design btw) have less screws that have more weight to them in the head and perform the same function.

you have every right to be a sheep!

Again, I disagree.

And I'm not sure why you have resorted to a seemingly arrogant response.
