I was busy at work and forgot, glad I did, at least I wasn't tempted. This is my first year participating, and I had'nt paid much attention to all the previous covers. But these have not been very interesting. I likley wont invest next year. Unless the club package is really nice. I did like the bag and cover for initiation. But that has been it so far.

Hi everyone, I saw a new headcover floating around eBay yesterday that supposedly came from the japan store. It was a psychedelic looking cover that was called “Magical Mystery Tour”. I though it looked great! Just curious if anyone knew how to get ahold of these releases? Do you need to purchase these in person at the store in Japan or are they available via the Club Cameron site? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I'm sure someone else can speak a little better to this than I can, but I'll give it a shot. Scotty holds an event every year at the Scotty Cameron Museum and Gallery in Japan. Members of the M&G are invited to this event and have the opportunity to purchase items made specifically for that event. The headcover you're talking about was part of a set of Beatles themed covers based on various Beatles album covers. Sometimes items from the M&G Festival show up as Studio Releases, but I'd doubt that these will.

 

If you want to buy them, ebay is your best bet. There's several auctions going on right now with these headcovers. The putter cover is listed as part of the whole set and in an auction by itself - but be prepared to pay. The set is selling for about $2K and I see the putter cover by itself is selling in the $750-1000 dollar range. You might be able to time it right and get it for about $500, but these things are hot right now.

It doesn't really work that way. You need the membership/kit before hand to give you access to the New Releases. These releases can sell out in seconds(bags) to EOB. It would be very unusual for a release to not sell out in a couple of hours(even for the Web.com ones). You don't get access to purchasing older releases either, as it's all limited run. You do get access to a putter cloth and other items year round though...

They usually drop some sort of teaser the day before the actual release though, so my plan is to sign up on Monday if the teaser looks intriguing and be ready to go for Tuesday for the limited run (really only want the headcovers, not too interested in much else).

 

Their twitter does say that next week they are having a Major Flash Sale...so who knows what will be included in that. I should probably just sign up now and get it out of the way, lol.

That teaser matches what I have seen, too bad really, seems like that would be fitting for more of a Ryder Cup release. Would've thought the release would be more Native American themed.

Not sure what Callaway and Taylormade and now Scotty are thinking going heavy with the USA red white and blue stuff. Save that for the 4th of July. Do something more apropos of the course itself.
